very helpful specially with drag drop type of questions..:)

passed with 716 with this dump. most of the questions were new. Even it has the "match the following patterned" questions. It had the scenarios and problem definitions, based on that problem definitions different queries were be placed in scrambled order. you need to place those queries in a correct order and drop those ordered questions into the Answer box.

whatever it is, with the above dump only a few questions were pop-up'ed in the exam and almost all of the questions were new and need to prepare well.

Requirements:
What data type to use?
Selected data type must allow values specified.
Selected data type must be the smallest possible in regards of the storage (meaning if you can apply int and smallint, you have to select smallint as it uses less storage).

Numbers I had to apply data types for:
- numbers from (-10) to (10) = I selected smallint
- number from 1 to 10000 with up to 6 decimal points = I selected decimal(5,6) or numeric(5,6), I think it was the latter

You have a table to store information about video.
Contraint on the table is that one of the fields (I think rating) can have values 1 to something, let's say 1-10.
You need to insert the information about the video, BUT the rating for now has to be 0, which goes agains the contstraint. You have to select the answer which allows to insert that value and would only apply to that one record and not others.

- The idea I believe is to select the answers with WITH NOCHECK/WITH CHECK

It was my second attempt, couple weeks ago got 624.

For those who are interested of how I did it, keep reading. For those who do not want to read much, know that the dump is not enough.

My first attempt when I failed.
I did not know that dumps were not valid anymore. The way I prepared (which is how I always do) - spent about 2 weeks reading/sudyin from the official book, then about 2+ weeks working on the dump - learning questions and researching explanations on a technet page.
This did not work when I first tried the exam. I had probably only max 20 questions from the dump (out of 55), the rest were new questions. Failed.

2nd attempt
What did I do different? First, I analyzed the questions from the test exam that came with the book. I found this very helpful, not that those questions were in the acctual exam, but it gave me a better understanding of the complexity of questions thay may come accross in the exam. Second, I continued refining my understanding of questions from the dump (I did the math: if you get 20 questions from the dump, which is almost 50% of questions, you better get all of them right, then you go from there working on questions you see for the first time).
Plus, I took something away from the failed exam: 1) learn data types so that you know very specifically what they are and which one to apply in a given scenario. If you ask me - very easy group of tickets. I had 1 in my 1st exam and 3 in my second. 2) Service Broker: analyze the code of how to enable and configure messaging to the bone. I mean, understand this thing which is also easy. Analyze examples. I had 2 questions I think in both of my exames (same questions btw). 3) SQL Profiler - I think what helped me the most were questions from the CD that came with the book. If you study them enough, it should be easy to pass in the exam 4) MERGE statement - 2 questions at least in each exam.
All of those above are easy points if you ask me.

I paid $60 just to see what it is - they are all same questions as in existing dumps here, not worth looking at at all.

What about 70-461. I would like to attend the exam. Could anyone send dumps for the 70-461.

Passed today with ~750. More than 25 new questions. 1 scenario, but easy.
9 questions with answers A-J. But these Questions are blocked into 3 different questions. So the context is the same in all 3 questions and there are only 3-4 possible answers if u check the context.
Maybe one task is: "You need to alter the table to."
In other task: "You have to create an index."
But all same context with same answers A-J.

The place and order questions are quite simple.
6 answers with 3 pairs (so 2 answers are analog with small differences)
So u get 3 out of these blocks and get the order.

Hi. I am from india-chennai. I took this exam yesterday. I cleared with 766. There was 55 questions. more then 20questions came from dump.

Flowing are the few area from where new questions came
1) Adding of new column to existing table
2) Data type & size base column adding
3) Steps to setting of the execution plan for single query and all query
4) Table and DTD given and asked to select the right SQL for it
5) Good amount of questions are like asking SQL for requirement. For those question easy way to get answer is note the select values and condition in question and select the answer for it.

Some questions are stupid and not to know, e.g. sys-views, but often its possible to find the correct answer with the questions of this dump, the facts behind this questions and the comments here. Passed. But it's a very hard exam. Too long questions. Only about 10 questions from this dumb.
Study GRUOPING SET, CUBE, query hints (ROBUST PLAN, KEEP PLAN, OPTIMIZE FOR UNKNOWN etc.), execution plan, system view, indexed view, partition function. The first questions have about 10 possible answers, but they are part of a group of questions so that only 2 answers are related to the current question.

it's outdated. took exam on Sep 13th - only about 40% of questions from this dump. the rest of them are either re-phrased or completely new. i did pass though with 799/1000!

I have passed 461 Exam without dumps. Think it less possible as with dumps;) But it is good way to test yourself. Also there has being training kit for 70-461 since 17 jul.
