IMPORTANT ACTIVATING SERVER CORE

key, use the Slmgr command to perform the following two steps. First, if you have not entered the key during Windows setup, type slmgr.vbs -ipk [product_key] at a command prompt, where [product_key] is your product key including the four dashes. (If you already entered the product key during Windows Setup, you can skip this first step.) Then, type slmgr.vbs -ato to perform the actual activation.
So the right answer is 3 & 4.

Hay Guys,, I Passed today with 860 (India) !! I didn't expect this good score in this hard exam!. thanks to "Ra", this is great source to study.
I got many questions from the last 4 exams (K,L,M,N) which I think it was the reason I got a good mark.
warning: N exam have 96 questions! (its unpleasant to discover this when you half a sleep studying late at night and u think "ahh its the last one")

I don't understand why do you need to install PowerShell on the core to activate the system?

-Your net uses MAK licenses. During installation technician does not enter the licence key. you need to activate WS2008RS on the server. What should you do:
1.Run ocsetup.exe netfx2-servercore;microsoftwindowspowershell
2.Run shutdown.exe /r
3.Run slmgr.vbs -ipk
4.Run slmgr.vgs -ato

Sometimes I don't understand what MS does mean, e.g. here
Hyper V host - Server 1 - WS2008R2
The disks on Server1 are configured as shown in the exhibit.
You create a VM named VM1. You deploy WinSRV2008R2 to VM1.

You need to configure VM1 to use Disk 1 as a pass-through disk. The solution must minimize downtime on VM1.

--So, is the WS2008R2 already deployed to VM1 (minimize downtime suggests that it is, otherwise there would be no downtime??) or the pass-through disk will be used as boot disk on which we're going to deploy WS2008R2??

Hi guys, Everyone that I know that is currently writing this exam is complaining about a certain drag & drop question they get which is different in the exam than in this dump. Apparently in this dump you have to drag & drop 4 things while when they get in the real exam it only allows them to drag and drop 3 things!

The question reads as follow:

Your network contains an Active Directory Domain.
The Domain contains a member server named Server1.
You install Windows Deployment Services (WDS) server role on Server1.
You have a reference computer named Computer1 that runs Windows 7.

You need to Capture an Image of Computer1 to WDS.

What should you do?

(Then you get the drag and drop thing, in the dump you have to choose 4 but in the real exam its 3 you have to choose. Which 3 is the real answer here?)

Failed today, studied MS supplied books and this dump but unfortunately there was a lot of new questions mainly focused on sharepoint and media streaming. I wonder when did they update the exam.must have been in the past day or two.

@sprezzatura you reading the permissions wrong at medium you are restricted from making network or web service calls, not allowed to. read through http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc754779.aspx again carefully and you'll see those permissions they list are restrictions

@gillan100 medium trust allows you to write outside the application directory. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc754779.aspx

This means outside the directory where the .net application is stored and has nothing to do with Program Files.

@Gillan100, medium allows it to right within the application directory but not outside it. I would assume program fileswebapp is the application directory. I could be wrong

This is the 2nd dump I have seen with what appears to be an incorrect answer regarding .NET trust level.

Company security policy states application should not make network or web service calls, which is part of the medium level permissions, yet this dump and other specifies medium as the correct level. Low level should be the correct answer, unless I am missing something.

how to be sure? there is a slight difference in the question. In the one you mention both cache/proxy server's bandwidth combined cannot be more than 500kbps while the other similar question they want each cache proxy server to be 500kbps.
