C & D - wrong as they are forwarders as you correctly states that they simple give instructions on where to forward the DNS queries.
B - Secondary Zone - wrong as you can not create a secondary zone in an ADI zone.
You are then left with A..wait I hear you say, A stub zone is a copy of a zone that contains only those resource records necessary to identify the authoritative Domain Name System (DNS) servers for that zone.
That's true but
1) Stub zones can be integrated within Active Directory (secondary zones can't)
2) If the DNS server cannot find the authoritative DNS servers in its stub zone, the DNS server hosting the stub zone attempts standard recursion using its root hints.

The DNS server will store the resource records it receives from the authoritative DNS servers listed in a stub zone in its cache, but it will not store these resource records in the stub zone itself; only the SOA, NS, and glue A resource records returned in response to the query are stored in the stub zone. The resource records stored in the cache are cached according to the Time-to-Live (TTL) value in each resource record. The SOA, NS, and glue A resource records, which are not written to cache, expire according to the expire interval specified in the stub zone's SOA record, which is created during the creation of the stub zone and updated during transfers to the stub zone from the original, primary zone.

Basically we are left with A, being the only sensible answer.

Oh..nearly forgot:
I think Answer C - DC2 is also out since as per article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/223346 and this leave the correct answer as A - DC3. This domain controller will be deployed in the corp.contoso.com domain. Thus we are really not left with one answer but two answers, A & D with D being wrong.

Still have some reservation about Exam A Q18:
Answer cannot be C - DC2 because, the question clearly states that "in the corp.contoso.com domain, you plan to deploy a new domain controller."
The trick is in stating that this needs to be done in the corp.contoso.com domain. Since RID is a DOMAIN WIDE fsmo role, D - DC1 is OUT since it's in the contoso.com parent domain. This leaves A - DC3 since it's in the child domain, corp.contoso.com where the change is meant to take place.

They try to trip you up on exam by switching between core and GUI installs. Some questions different but if you studied the book and this material and know the difference you should have no problem.

you're right with B19 online backup. You can easily check yourself by opening
that technet URL with virtual labs (works in IE only). In this lab you can
configure the Backup yourself in a VM. Play around with it ..
Recommend the others labs too, helped me to get a better understanding.

But the answer should be to remove the permission for the IT Department.
I don't know why, all I got was this from a well known, paid german site:
Rule does only apply to resources with value IT-Department.
Obviously the Data in Folder1 has not yet been classified.
To make sure perms for IT Department are only applied throughout the CAP, we need to remove the permissons for IT Department from the ACL of the Folder properties. Anyone please explain to us why this is right .. @MFB ?

as i explained on the first page of the VCE the 2 first exams contain the questions for the exam.
the 37 questions of the exam C are just for training as they came out 2 weeks before the exam was released and nobody did never get any question from it.

To all : too bad first comments were deleted (more than one month of comments) as many questions that i had doubts on were answered or explained there. And i did not take the time to update the file.. (i wondered why people were asking questions that were already answered on this forum, now i know why..)

Indeed some questions slightly changed. One of them was the drag and drop where you have to advice wether to do a clean install on new hardware, existing hardware or upgrade. in the dump there was only one x86 CPU (so new hardware), on the exam there were two machines with x86 CPU. So new hardware twice :)

Only DC3 can do the job for corp.contoso.com and provide new dc with Relative ID

Question B8 may be Advanced. Q is talking about system events - not all events. There is a limited buffer for all the tasks and transactions running under some user account, this might be too much info for that buffer. Running such things under the computer account seems best practice (70-680),
and you do that by clicking Advanced.Just an assumption though. Try setting it up in your lab.

@Satchmo - when people find wrong answers, they usually post their explanations as to why they are wrong. There were some that I had some questions about, but really couldn't find definitive proof that Zozo's answers were wrong. I'm taking the exam this afternoon. I'll let everyone know how it turns out.
Just as an aside, who cares if you get a few wrong? If you h ave an understanding of the material, no one is going to ask you what your score was on the exams..at least I've never been asked how I scored, only to produce prof that I hold the certs that I claim to.

Zozo is confusing the forum. (Despite the obvious contribution ..)
Alvaro Palmeirao from Portugal pointed out that there appear to be 4 questions wrong on her vce. Someone else pointed that they answered all questions as per Zozo's vce but got 4/5 questions wrong on the exam.
The forum needs to focus on what people believe are the incorrect answers.
If these questions pop up it may make a difference to have these questions corrected.

@Jimmy those were new questions I did encounter. Mentioned it in my first post below. I was in a hurry, so I just pasted that text in for you guys. However, needs no explanation here on 70-417 thread me thinks. Answer to 2nd q is indeed uninstall-addsdomaincontroller - which can demote dc. That's one of those twisted ones. If you don't get that as an answer option, go with dcpromo (read zozos explanation for that q - she states if there would be uninstall-addsdomaincontroller it'd be better choice). Good luck m8 and all of you.

Alex, why are you posting questions and answers without an explanation as to why you are doing so? Seems strange. The answer to your second question is Dcpromo.exe is it not?

The bad one is the "initial answer" marked as false.
i always keep the "initial answer" for people to understand the rectification(s). That's the way i do on every questions i correct.
The explanation is supposed to do the rest.

Anyway, according to the 90%.. well i modified it while studying on it and i thought it could be helpful if i published it.
But now i'm workig on something else, so i'm sorry but i just can't keep it up to date as i really don't have enough time. But that's why this page exists after all! =D Maybe a courageous person will integrate the new questions and rectifications to a new VCE and post it! =P

in the explanation section you show two different possible answers. The one at the top of the page on the explanation and the same thing right below it that says =false. I just want to confirm that the correct sequence of events is on the first screen shot shown. Its the one that if you answer correctly in traning mode goes right to the next question.

I need clarification for the answer of one question.

What is the proper sequence:
It looks like
1. Create a Central Access Policy
2. Create a Central Access Rule
3. In GPO 1 Modify the Central Access Policy Staging Setting and configure Central Access Policy Setting
4. Modify the Security settings of the Shared Folders on the file servers
5. Search for failure events in the security logs.

Is this the correct sequence? There seems to be some confusion in the answer explanation.

The task was to move the VM to another host. If I only move the storage location, the vm stays on the old host, no?
And doing a "shared nothing" move is actually a new feature of 2012 (so local storage is an option). Only thing that is bothering me here is the word "quick migration" as this is a cluster move option.
But if the VM has to move, it has to move outside the cluster as none of the answers is part of it..
So, exporting the vm, delete the clustered vm and import to another host ist the only option, but its not there.
Any ideas?

Regarding the iSCSI question it is definitely:
1- On Server2, add an iSCSI initiator ID to target1.
