To me the answer is DC3 all day long. The RID Master is responsible for the promotion of Domain Controllers. In regards to the answers and question, all questions were in this exam but the order of the answers have changed in about 60 percent of the questions,

Its broken up into 3 x sections if anyone didn't know.

Yes, the Question with the online backups have changed and Folder 3 - Online backup with system state information not even mentioned.

Also there are a bunch of questions that have changed in terminology but if you study as well as refer to this vce, then you are right.

I believe not. This exam is for people that have the MCSA 2008 certification and want to upgrade that to MCSA 2012. If you are MCITP on Server 2008 you already have the MCSA 2008 certification and you can do this exam.

If you only have the client certification, it doesn't count and you will have to do the normal exams for Server 2012. Thats three for the MCSA or five if you want to have MCSE.

Hi, I passed today with 850/962/933-

I immediately realised I made 3 mistakes:

1) In the qs about: Default or CustomDCCloneAllowList.xml ---> I chose DefaultDCCloneAllowList.xml on the root of an USB stick ---> WRONG .
(did it cause I got confused, in the option, AD DB was in D, and the 'custom' xml option pointed to %WINDIR% (C) . I thouht, WTF!!
answer is always CUSTOM., and in %WINDIR%NTDS, you get the DefaultDCCloneAllowList.xml from the drive where is NTDS.DIT, BUT the copy/save it in %WINDIR%NTDS . always as CUSTOM...xml

2) The qs about Online Backup or WSB
I chose Folder3 (compressed) --> Online Backup as well---- I think I got it wrong .. might be WSB

3) Drag&Drop about upgrading 2008's to 2012 .
The 3rd option was x64 processor and 2088r2 CORE,
I think got confused after watching CBTs, where I understood, you can't go from 2008 core to 2012 core .. BUT It's not like that, It's just that just that you can't upgrade from 2008core to 2012GUI, you have to go FIRST to 2012CORE, and then, if you like, add the GUI features

Well, now I'm MCSA2012 as well!!!

Well if you want to upgrade 2003 mcsa to 2012 the path is like this.

1st upgrade 2003 to 2008 mcitp server admin by doing 70-648
Then take 70-417 to upgrade server 2008 mcitp server admin to 2012 mcsa
finally take 70-413 and 70-414.

End result will be MCSE 2012...

I cannot upgrade MCSA2012 from MCSA 2003, you must get MCITP first. the secondly you have to get 410 411 412.

Have my MCSA 2003 - i think no upgrade path possible. Also have MSCA Win 7 - [ Enterprise Desktop Support ]. Can i upgrade my MSCA using this exam??

According to the link below. It is possible if i have Enterprise desktop administrator - however administrator and support both become MSCA Win 7.

I thinks this question is not accurate on this test exam:

The provided answer is C, Server manager. I think its answer B looking at this technet document: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj574205.aspx.
