I tried to google this, but couldn't find it. I would like to have a copy of it, as well as other ancient maps. Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks.
What is that momeNt? Is that really it? I have my doubts. But thanks in any event!
Maps from that era are fascinating. Coastlines are fairly accurate in latitude but way off in longitude because there was no good way to measure longitude at sea.
Thanks, as always, for your insightful contribution gump. You couldn't even get that right - he discovered the INTERNET, not America....
Al Gore discovered America dumb asses.
Moment and Outhouse, I really appreciate it. Knowing its called the Marsellus map is very helpful - I can find prints of that now. But they don't really look like the link you posted - they look crummier. If anyone happens to know a good company to get map prints from, please let me know. Thanks!
Given the very short time that the coast of the Americas had been mapped, all three of these are pretty good.Probably one of these.
