That being said...their hardware improvements from one gen to the next hasn't been remarkable since SNES to N64. I don't expect the Switch 2 hardware to be a huge jump, but we'll see.

It's all about the backwards compat. If it comes out and it's not, I'll buy a Switch OLED for the long haul. If it is, I'll buy as close to launch as possible and hope that some of my games that remain unplayed because of my perceived performance issues (Astral Chain) will get some sort of FPS boost mode or something.Nintendo never discounts. Nintendo finally admitted that the Switch 2 will be (at the very least?) announced in their fiscal year (ends in March).
Fresh leak of the Switch 2, seemingly confirming that it comes with 12 GB of ram and 256 GB drive. Also screen is bigger.
