Israel certainly would not be the first state that falls to its own far right that was sympathized with and abetted for far too long. It is certainly arguable this has already effectively happened. Also, as Hezbollah has fired around 100 rockets to the north of Israel today, and in general has also attacked strategic IDF bases, things there might get hotter sooner rather than later which would postpone Gantz leaving even more.
