88 seemed high for this date, but I just scrolled back through the last 10 years and it really isn't uncommon.
Ugh 79 and 87% humidity this morning in San Antonio72 degrees and 78% humidity at this time will not a good day make.
I was just about to complain about the same thing. Screw this heat.87f Today in So. NH in May! 92f tomorrow. Can't recall ever having a heat wave in May
God that sounds nice. Lower than our December or January averages.17C right now. We're finally getting hot weather now. Went in the bush about a week ago, no more snow in the bush.
Already a horrible start to summer for San Antonio. Had our two worst summers ever recorded the last two years, and this one is shaping up to be every bit as bad with 103 forecast for Sunday. Today's no prize either, only 93 at 1:30PM but it's so humid the heat index is 106.87f Today in So. NH in May! 92f tomorrow. Can't recall ever having a heat wave in May
Dallas is in tornado alley and gets horrendous thunderstorms and Houston is pretty rainy. San Antonio area has been plagued by drought since 2022 and lots of lakes out here are struggling.I know TX is a big place, but I keep hearing about heavy rains and floods, but also about lakes drying up.
Here's probably the worst lake out here:I know TX is a big place, but I keep hearing about heavy rains and floods, but also about lakes drying up.
My apartment has central air, but I haven't turned it on yet. Fortunately, I was out and about today for a meeting, so didn't have to be home. But also, I've found in this type of weather, keeping the windows closed or minimally open, and the shades drawn slows the heating of my place. And when the sun sets, I can pop a window fan in to bring in cool air from the outside.I was melting here in Boston till my husband came home & put the AC in, sitting here in my little recliner enjoying cool air, I might sleep here tonight. High temps for the next few days, then back down into the 60’s next week.
I don’t do heat well at all, breathing is hard. AC is expensive but so worth it !
