More actually.Three CCD Configurations?
new every bit of uncore really.New IOD?
yeaZen 6
no. DDR6 is not coming to client devices.DDR6
No.a new AM6 socket?
CAMM2 support?More actually.
new every bit of uncore really.
yea
no. DDR6 is not coming to client devices.
No.
There you go.
In mobile? yea.CAMM2 support?
There are mobile ones too.How many?
idk5nm?
hold your horses kiddo, we need 9600 on LPCAMM first.LPDDR6, baby.
Mobile is to be expected, desktop would be amazing but it is a slower market to adapt. DIMMs will last yet another generation before finally dying an overdue death, hopefully along with ATX.In mobile? yea.
Having triple 6 stuff in your product portfolio could be as bad for Christian markets as triple 4 would be in Chinese markets (4 is an unlucky number).Three CCD Configurations?New IOD? Could we have a beast trio in 2026:Zen 6 with DDR6 with a new AM6 socket?
Speculate at will.
ATX dying would probably require a drastic upheaval beyond even CAMM.DIMMs will last yet another generation before finally dying an overdue death, hopefully along with ATX.
Plenty of inspiration can be taken from modern server blade configs and the like, just in a much cheaper form.ATX dying would probably require a drastic upheaval beyond even CAMM.
Likeliest candidate for the executioner would be tied to development of glass PCBs with photonic interconnects - something I don't expect to land anytime soon even with TSMC and other non Intel parties making moves on photonics.
Oh I don't doubt it, but as others have said before ATX is simply too entrenched.Plenty of inspiration can be taken from modern server blade configs and the like, just in a much cheaper form.
CAMM2 is coming to desktop eventually, it is WIP.Mobile is to be expected, desktop would be amazing but it is a slower market to adapt. DIMMs will last yet another generation before finally dying an overdue death, hopefully along with ATX.
Maybe some NUCs might adopt CAMM early, could be neat.
CAMM2 support?
Three CCD Configurations?
No it means they have like a zillion different CCDs taped out for different markets.Do you mean how many different types of CCD configurations will there be
No it means they have like a zillion different CCDs taped out for different markets.
Why does this pop up every time we're 2-2.5 years away from the new generation?SMT4 baybeeeee
No it means they have like a zillion different CCDs taped out for different markets.
I was jokingWhy does this pop up every time we're 2-2.5 years away from the new generation?
