Dad was posted in Fort Hood (now Fort Cavazos) in the early 60s. That resulted in a lasting disdain for the state. Give it back to Mexico. So not only is our forecast today for 102, not only is our dewpoint 76 right now which ensures heat index should be 115 maybe even 120, but we also have the worst air quality in the nation today too. Fucking Texas, wish I could afford to move the fuck out of this shithole.

But Mexico wouldn't let us keep our slaves so we had to secedeDad was posted in Fort Hood (now Fort Cavazos) in the early 60s. That resulted in a lasting disdain for the state. Give it back to Mexico.
Maybe a good time to start making a mudhouse if you have the land for it. Those are cooler to live in by design. That's how people in middle east survived in hot summers in the old days.now we have two and it's still only May a month before summer.
I hope that isn't caused by our out of control forest fires. So not only is our forecast today for 102, not only is our dewpoint 76 right now which ensures heat index should be 115 maybe even 120, but we also have the worst air quality in the nation today too. Nah, it's the yearly agricultural burning in Mexico. Makes smog so thick you can cut through it with a knife in South Texas in May and early June any time we get a wind from the south.I hope that isn't caused by our out of control forest fires.
Last year was a mess and the smoke affected a lot of places in North America.
I never even bothered with installing an AC when I lived in LA. I think there was one day in the entire nine years I lived there where I thought damn I'd like AC today when it hit 100 on the westside. What is this “AC” you are all going on about?
It’s currently 52F and rainy here. There are usually 2-3 days per year where AC would be nice to have during the day, but at night, the cool ocean breezes drop temps down into the 50s again…
You are soooo lucky to have that.but at night, the cool ocean breezes drop temps down into the 50s again…
After all you've posted here. I will NEVER go to San António, TX. Ever.View attachment 99807
Well at least the air quality has improved from Unhealthy to Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups today though. Feels like you could cut through the air with a knife both on humidity and pollution today.
Do you live by the bay, or lake Houston? I mean, if you care to say. It’s a pleasant 70F outside right now. The 46mph wind gusts, hail and 1/2 in of rain in the last 30 minutes - not so much.
