Can you source that please? Cant find anything...

Zelensky referred to this about a week or so ago. Storm Shadows not smoking stuff in Taganrog and Rostov on Don. Reports from Ukrainian units in the field that they can't use their non-native 155mm guns (only some of which come from the US and Germany) to shoot across the border and native 152mm ammo is in very short supply. The admin isn't going to say it out loud but it all paints the same picture that we are threatening their lethal aid if they do not comply with our requirement not to fire on territorial Russia with western arms regardless of if we actually supplied them.

The whole thing is absurd. Russia isn't going to reach for the nukes if 155mm shells and GMLRS start landing on military targets in Belgorod and Kursk Oblasts.

Lest Russian propaganda tells you a shopping center is a military target.
Video from inside, of the victim's final seconds.

That was horrifying...

Any dirtbags that claim this wasn't an attack on innocent civilians is an evil coward. They are not fit to be called human beings. I hope they catch polio and have to live in an iron lung for the rest of their miserable lives.

Germany says Russian invasion is not a 'big war'.
...
The Baltics starts plan B...
Yes. If Ukraine falls, Russian war VS NATO would begin immediately as a consequence.
10s of millions of refugees fleeing Genocide has that effect on Poland and Baltics.
That fact that the Baltics are so clearly next is a primary motivator. Russia keeps threatening them all.

Some western portion of Ukraine would HAVE to be preserved for refugees.
That means killing the invading Russians. One way or another.

We need to mobilize our production for military.
Lest conventional fails and WMD is the only answer.

And yet another angle shows ammo cooking off:

This illegitimate president loves putting his own citizens in harms way. From snatching people off the streets to fight his wars, to now turning shopping malls into ammo dumps. Awful.

-A small corrupt country run by an illegitimate president, what else would anyone expect! Ukraine is fighting a doomed battle against the Hyper power Russian Empire, they will have to resort to cockroach tactics such as hiding munitions and forced recruitment drives to not immediately lose!

Luckily Putin is a kind and wholesome Christian man, some say you can even see a halo around his head when the light catches him just right, so I know he will do the right thing and stop the Russian MOD from continuing to invade Ukraine so that the Ukrainian people can finally be free of despots like Zelensky.

Russia is a terrorist state. Doesn't matter if the targets are Chechen, Syrian or Ukrainian. Civilians are fair game in their eyes; women, children, it doesn't matter. They will do it to others if they think it is required.

I'd like to remind everyone that in the earlier days of 2022, Russians bombed the Mariupol Drama Theater where hundreds of civilians were sheltering, mostly women and children. Satellite shots of the building confirmed the word CHILDREN written in huge letters on two sides of the building before the strike. This was roughly same time they bombed a maternity hospital there. I remember seeing on TV a shell shocked pregnant woman being removed from the debris on a stretcher. Also remember them saying she and the baby both died.

Scholz, once again, disappoints. It's a shame he doesn't understand how his desire to avoid a big war could actually help ensure one. He wants that stalemate. I would like to think of all Europeans, Germans have the most cogent insight into just how much can be lost by ignoring the growth of violent fascism. What the hell, and it shouldn't take sharing a long border with Russia to understand this. Thank dog for our British, Polish, Baltic and Scandi friends.

Bottom line: Russia's invasion needs to be defeated so it's people have another chance to reset, like they were able to do for a short time in the 90s. If it stays together under real democratic rule, fine, if it fractures into competing regions, fine, but this Russian imperial wet dream ends here, in Ukraine.

I think it should be repeated, but Russia and the US was obligated to protect Ukraine because of Ukraine giving up their nuclear weapons. This was the 1994 Budapest Memorandum.

Russia is using false accusations to invade Ukraine. Even if you believe that there is an uptick in nazi groups in the Ukraine (which I don't believe), that's still not a reason to invade the Ukraine. The only justification was if the nazi groups took over Ukraine and actively began attacking Russia. Then, and only then, would Russia be justified in using force against Ukraine.

Everyone knows what Russia is doing is a load of bullshit. But we still got Russian paid operatives, or just plain stupid morons, who still believe what Russia tells them or at least spouts what Russia wants the world to believe.

It sounds like the French are going to be sending trainers into Ukraine. Unclear if the plan is for them to actively train Ukrainian soldiers or if they are going to be observing Ukrainian operations/training to better tailor their own efforts to Ukraine's needs. Western trainers probably should quietly rotate through observing front line areas if they are going to be training new AFU soldiers to fight there. This isn't without risk but it seems like an acceptable one.

Sounds kinda like when Eisenhower sent advisors (approx 700 incl troops) to Vietnam. Certainly hope this doesn’t turn out the same.

The US was not obligated to defend Ukraine, we were just obligated to not invade it. Russia had the same obligation.

In Nam the Russian's and Chinese were funnelling weapons and 'advisors' across the Chinese border. Our rules of engagement didn't allow us to attack those rearward positions. If we (NATO) do anything in Ukraine, we'd better not hamstring ourselves again. Lesson should be drilled by now.

I stand corrected on the terms of the Budapest Memorandum.

It still does not change the fact that Russia had no right to invade Ukraine. Only stupid people believe what Russia's excuse for the invasion is.

And I bet Ukraine really really really wishes it had kept those nukes.

AKA, nuclear proliferation is the only ally a nation truly has in this world.
The more regular use of nuclear weapons WILL follow once enough of us have them.

100%

Why don't other countries mess with Pakistan, even though it's an unstable country with many terrorist groups? They got nukes.

Why aren't we harsher on N.Korea, even though it's rife with human rights violations and hostile cyberattacks on other countries? They got nukes. And China.

Why aren't we harsher on Russia, and want Ukraine to not make offensive moves inside Russian ground? They got nukes.

Ironically a macrocosm of the 'an armed society is a polite society' justification for the 2A. Seems to actually work at the nation-state level.

It's not as absolute as that.

Afghanistan is messing with Pakistan. Taliban fought us, and we have plenty of nukes.

Israel has nukes, hasn't made other countries stop messing with them.
