SoCAL. 2200sqft 2 floors house.

Found toilet clogged and sewage overflow from back of the house.

Don't want to be overcharged.

About every 10 years this sxxt happens.

Why is your sewage pipe to the back? Municipal service is usually to the street. Not septic tank is it?

Yeah, the pipe is to the street. But the toilet is right in the middle of the house on the backside of the house and there is a sewage hole there.

What is a "Sewage Hole"?
Are you talking about a sewage clean-out port that should be capped.

You shouldn't have a hole in your sewage pipes.

Around here it's around $200 just to have them show up with proper equipment, I think that covers the first half hour if it's something quick. After that, it's like $125/hr or so, but they usually get in and out pretty quick. I couldn't guess what SoCal rates are, costs are higher but there also may be fierce competition.

Some of the rooter services are heavy one the upsell. I had one tell me I needed a new sewer line before he even saw it. I pointed to the cleanout, told him to run the snake out a hundred feet per our agreement, or leave.
