Nah, there's already a bunch of very autistic haters who are itching to stick it to him. Just let them nerd it out for weeks on Twitter.Remember that for later.
Genuinely wonder if some maintainers gonna throw a fit over this.It has been insane!
Rootkit?I don't think poopypanties chatbot is worth anything but I digress.
It's a cute party trick but not something worth squezing your OS over.
MS has been shilling >AI for over a year and so far the only usecase they present is a literal rootkit with OCR engine attached.
Genius.
The new Recall feature is basically a first-party rootkit, it OCRs and logs every single action you do on your PC.Rootkit?
Sinofsky caused irreparable damage to the Windows BU.What happened to Windows 7 level of development?
No I meant, in the reaction list. Like / Haha / Love / Wow could use at least a Sad or Cry / Meh / Anger.
This is one of the things I actually look forward to AI being useful for - "hey Siri, watch this Youtube video for me and provide a written transcript that elides all the ads, [once Google finally figures out how to make me actually see any] talk about sponsors, and self-promotional crap"
I generally refuse to watch Youtube videos that are just talking - and I've found it is safe to assume that if you're given a link to Youtube video as a source of "news" 99% of the time it is pushing conspiracy theories and/or highly slanted partisan bs. If Google ever succeeds in making me see ads on Youtube with either Linux/Firefox/uBlock or iPhone/Safari/FirefoxFocus I'll give it up completely unless/until I can get Siri to watch it for me. Then Google will be out to figure out a way to prevent AIs from watching Youtube - good luck find a CAPTCHA for Youtube that AIs can't do but doesn't annoy humans to the point of near insanity lol!
For videos that don't have transcriptions yet or have them disabled I use Google's Live Transcribe app if I am watching the video live and just need a transcript to go with it, and otherwise I use something like whisper v3 which is available at a few places in a few different forms. Not sure yet which is best, most convenient and also works for long videos. There was at least one negative reaction when they added Likes years ago (AT is an old forum, and didn't have social media-esque reactions for a very long time). Eventually the negative reactions were removed because of users trolling people with them. They would just follow the target from one thread to the next, bombing every post instead of replying with rebuttal or anything similar.
Just an FYI, but YouTube should be able to generate a transcript for any video that has closed captions. In fact there are services that can take a video URL and spit out a transcript for you. Here's one:
Once we start getting some serious deep dive videos on Zen5 (hopefully soon maybe eh) you won't have to slog through them unless you really want to do so.
Whoa, that's low.16% ipc increase... if we take one lesson from this it's don't trust leakers

Yea.Wtf? MILD was right?
Yea.
And I was wrong.
How does this work with Turin perf tho.
No, these are real press slides.Nah, I’m waiting till the keynote reveals it. These could be faked
Naaa, 96c Turin perf target in SIR models out to ~30% PPC bump, SMT accounted for.I suggested this before... clock speeds.
First, The leaker (adroc_thurston) said 39% in ONE benchmark, we have not seen that disproved yet. I will wait ultimately until benchmarks come out in later this month or early July.16% ipc increase... if we take one lesson from this it's don't trust leakers

I said ~32% in SIR which this isn't.First, The leaker (adroc_thurston) said 39% in ONE benchmark, we have not seen that disproved yet. I will wait ultimately until benchmarks come out in later this month or early July.
That 56% is in Blender which AMD already destroys Intel in. Cause Intel as only 8 P cores vs 16 on AMD.productivity 7% to 56% ? Thats more like what I expected.
