Could be some projected features for Zen5 were bumped to Zen6, kinda like what was said about Zen and Zen2.Yeah, kind of wonder what Mike Clark was on about when talking Zen5, idk, two years+ ago. It’s almost like someone made him take a big cut to the Zen4- Zen5 xtor budget increase.
Naaa.Could be some projected features for Zen5 were bumped to Zen6, kinda like what was said about Zen and Zen2.
19% vs 16%... what a big miss?A big tock should be a big tock, see Z3.

Base clocks are down 200-700 MHz for 9xxx vs 7xxx. Biggest loss is for the 9600X and 9700X. nT performance might be the same as Zen 4 for these SKUs (or at least workload dependent)....
There are dense.
Skinny 16c sausage.
No? The CCD is barely bigger and so is Strix despite more or everything. It did though.
I think we shouldn't harp onto what architets say. Its almost not always performance but the design. Zen 5 should be the most interesting Zen design since OG Zen.Yeah, kind of wonder what Mike Clark was on about when talking Zen5, idk, two years+ ago. It’s almost like someone made him take a big cut to the Zen4- Zen5 xtor budget increase.
Doesn't look weird to me then.
Well Clark might also not have anticipated leakers hyping this up so much even more — and further the PC landscape has changed a bit.Yeah, kind of wonder what Mike Clark was on about when talking Zen5, idk, two years+ ago. It’s almost like someone made him take a big cut to the Zen4- Zen5 xtor budget increase.
yep, have heard this from Exist and some others to varying degreesIt did though.
It seems Mi325 is unchanged silicon6q is what you'll get.
No it's the actual CDNA4.Mi350 changed compute tile only everything else the same?
That one moves the paradigm into a different direction.Mi400 new architecture evolution
So true.MLID was right!
MLID was right!
MLID was right!
MLID was right!
Kepler_L2, wrong!
Adroc, wrong!
Silicon Gang, wrong!
Youtube leakers, right!
/s of course but still lol
What? The cores are quite a bit bigger. You're not redeeming Zen 5 with either area or power. No? The CCD is barely bigger
Or sometimes hype, especially from high profile executives, is just hype.Yeah, kind of wonder what Mike Clark was on about when talking Zen5, idk, two years+ ago. It’s almost like someone made him take a big cut to the Zen4- Zen5 xtor budget increase.
Again, the CCD is barely bigger. You're not redeeming Zen 5 with either area or power.
Are you itching to be wrong a third time, or would this be fourth? You spent months insulting people over what turned out to be complete BS. Maybe take a lesson from that?Again, the CCD is barely bigger.
And so is STX.
If you're trying to gloat, at least do it properly.
Lets see about that.... Zen 5 IPC is Turin also. Wait until benchmarks come out. 32% is the aim , now on servers/Turin.Because your Turin numbers are just as wrong as your Zen 5 IPC claims.
You can literally eyeball the CCD size. Are you itching to be wrong a third time, or would this be fourth
If you wanna gloat, do it properly.Maybe take a lesson from that?
Yup, lol. I bailed after the thread became nothing more than a circus of Zen 5 hype. It's kind of funny watching the backpedaling. After all, what's the point of a circus if you can't enjoy the clowns?Just popped in here to celebrate... ehh mate? I totally understand you.
How about those new Turin chiplets? Should be a single 16-core CCX now, otherwise not much point to it. Don't think any leaker came close to guessing that. Wonder how it would perform on desktop, if that's even theoretically possible without big sacrifices... if this means there will be more two different V-cache dies, or if AMD just abandons V-cache on desktop now.
No, they did show the Classic one too. That's the only Turin that was shown - Turin D with 16c CCDs.
