Time to break out the rare bourbon we've been sitting on..

@iRONic just put together something beautiful.
Next Thursday I may try to bargain with the guy at the liquor store for the as priced at 125$ metal bottle of Makers Mark for a more palpable price just for sentencing day. They overprice everything anyway because of all the season incomers for the lakes.

I kind of keep a low profile. No stickers, no yard signs. I don't need a whackjob here in this gun nut state to go postal on me in "self defense".

In all seriousness, I don't vote or believe what I do to get over on anyone. I avoid political "debates" which in my experiences are just people wanting to vent and that are looking for a duck in a shooting gallery. I wouldn't celebrate if Trump was put in jail or if he loses. I'd give a sigh of relief. I vote lesser evil and he's the greater one.
Please exercise your right to vote. Many have given everything for that right.

While foreign agiprop is present, I doubt it is the cause. It has amplifying effect but the root cause is American.
Nah the agitprop farms start the desired narratives until enough sheep take over. It's too coordinated to be coming directly from Fox or other cable news. They're all way behind the curve.

After any event that needs spinning, you'll see copypasta across the internet within an hour attacking from every angle possible. Those are monitored to determine which points gain the most traction. Those get regurgitated through conservative media and make it to cable news within 24 hours.

Every GOPer they can find going on TV to tell gullible pundits that this helps Trump while Trump himself is having a four alarm freakout online over his sentencing seem to be somewhat at odds.

You are giving Russians too much credit. This is because republicans have been impacting public education for decades. A dumb populous is much easier to control.

It is very likely that Trump will not be able to vote for himself on November 5, 2024. No photo op of a politician voting for himself.

While it's not clear if Judge Merchan will actually give Trump actual prison time, and a lot of legal experts do expect home confinement or probation. They are all over the place on when any of these sentences would actually become active, some thinking at least after Nov. 5.

If so, Trump will not be able to vote for himself under FL law. Current FL law does restore voting rights of felons, but only after they have satisfied all aspects of their sentence, be in prison time, probation, or even paying fines.

My understanding is that Flori-Duh bows to the state in which the conviction occurred...which, under NY law, if he's not incarcerated, he'd be allowed to vote...but it sounds like his bestest bud, DeSantis has him covered.

So the idiot governor of Florida released a statement and made an exception and despite his 34 felony convictions, Trump will still be able to vote. The reasoning was the trial was a sham and shouldn't count. So since disagrees with the verdict I guess Trump isn't a felon in his eyes. I think that sets a poor president at best. You can't use personal feelings to nullify a state law for 1 person. I don't know who could challenge his decision, but it would be nice if there is someone who could. They stepped up and reversed his ruling. If for no other reason than it would piss off Ron & Don.

And a MAGA replied to me on YT that Trump would be cleared of all felonies and be back in the white house. He also said he's been training hard in preparation to help Trump in any way he could if any situation arise. It got me wondering what kind of hard training a MAGA would do lol.

Fascism knows no law. Only the use of force to achieve a desired result.
American politicians have abandoned Democracy in favor of autocracy.
Some 70 million Americans will endorse this.

One more time...
A felony conviction in another state makes a person ineligible to vote in Florida only if the conviction would make the person ineligible to vote in the state where the person was convicted.

NY says that a convicted felon who is not incarcerated at voting time is allowed to vote.

Therefore, if Trump is not incarcerated at voting time, he will be allowed to vote in FL.

No exceptions are being made. No state laws are being nullified. Much as it doesn't please me in this case, it is the rule in FL Now, if he IS incarcerated and DeSantis allows him to vote, that would be voter fraud. .

Trump was a poor president and this sets a poor precedent.

Seems like the DA could go after him for voter fraud if he did vote when not allowed, just like any other ineligible voter. Really doesn't matter what the governor says, the law is the law. Of course Ron could just pardon him.

I don’t think the issue is whether or not Trump can vote but the fact that Desantis is using this opportunity to delegitimize an institution and pretend to subvert the rule of law.

Currently witness tampering is irrelevant. Him paying for the lawyers for Jan 6 committee hearing witnesses isn’t a crime. Sure if they can connect the dots that Costello tailored his testimony that’s trouble for him. Won’t influence judge determining sentencing. And documents case too rock solid that further charges of witness tampering is moot.

Training hard could be code word for they have been training with guns at the shooting range. Other than that, WTF you think they're doing, taking a civics test?

And the sheer hypocrisy of Flori-Duh, and GQP's in general, reversing their mantra of all felons should have their voting rights revoked forever. When it's their lord and savior, then obviously the trial was a sham. Because he can murder someone and it's not a crime.

I do get that part, and saw that before today. However, it's the sheer hypocrisy exhibited by the Magat crowd that gets me. All felons should have their voting rights revoked! Except when it's our guy, because that was a sham!

More accurately there is probably a color test involved in determining which felons should be allowed to vote.

Yes, probably shooting at the range. Probably not so much cardio though.
