The bigger issue here is the humidity. Temps can be in the 80s, but only drop to the 70s at night and the air gets so thick it's hard to breathe. Moisture literally clings to things inside the house with out some level of AC or a dehumidifier. We don't even have AC in the house. There might be 4-5 days each year where it would be nice to have...but we just open windows and doors...sooner or later, the nice cool ocean breezes kick in...and the temps drop quickly.
It's not Phoenix? So, uh, what's the benefit of living in San Antonio and dealing with all that heat?
Oooo, and more methane coming off of the permafrost. Watch out for those sinkholes. We have a heat warning for tomorrow. Fun. Suppose to go up to 30.
We might be in for a nice thunderstorm though, then it will cool things off. That tends to be what happens when it gets this hot.
Wish I could keep the inside of my house to 27C in this heat wave lolA day like today I'm definitely happy to have A/C. 27C right now, just went outside to put some garbage out and it hit like a wall. Sure enough they are announcing a thunderstorm this evening. I called it lol.
update:
Environment Canada has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for my area. Looks like tonight is going to be messy.
Environment Canada upgraded their statement to A Severe Thunderstorm Warning.Fun, guessing we might get the tail end of that system. They're only announcing rain here but clouds are starting to come in and are pretty dark. Still +30 now with a 35 humidex.
Thanks to kids' sports, I'm already super tanned by end of May. Cooler weather is actually fine so the kids aren't so miserable when we practice.
