Imgur has changed its URL format and therefore inserting imgur media clips no longer works

My workaround is to switch imgur to the old design, navigate to the next clip then back to the one I want, copy the URL, feed it to this forum, then switch imgur back to the new design (because I don't like the old design).

I don't get it. I have a clip I inserted 2 weeks ago and that one still works. Trying new one today and it fails

As I said in the OP, imgur changed their URL format to now include at least a portion of the imgur post title.

Admittedly I can be stupid. Switched imgur back to old design, deleted and reuploaded videos, copied new links but that still doesn't work.

I found a quicker way around the problem.

So here's a URL (with spaces):

https:// imgur.com /gallery / choose-wisely-pFIUZ6u

Chop the URL so it becomes:

https: // imgur.com / gallery / pFIUZ6u

https://imgur.com/a/pFIUZ6u

I could have sworn that I tried truncating the URL when posting the OP but it didn't help. Oh well.

I used your example but with my file name

https: // imgur.com / gallery / GB6CkPg

and got from forum software...

"The specified URL cannot be embedded as media."

There is the option to download the GIF, then upload here, then delete the downloaded file.
