And here for the first time, the great man in his own highly partisan words:
Just following the words of their Christ-chosen savior, don'cha'no?Is there any problem in America the 2nd Amendment can't solve?
I think perhaps you don't really understand the role and powers of the Chief Justice. Other than assigning which Justice get to write majority opinions the Chief Justice has next to no significant power. I'm not a big fan of Roberts (to put it mildly) and I think his feeble attempts to run interference with the Senate re the Court's very real ethical problems are misplaced and wrong, but I think your criticism of him in this case is unjustified. What do you specifically say Roberts can do about Alito (and Thomas for that matter) that you contend Roberts is derelict in his duties for failing to do so?Roberts is the worst. He is derelict in his duties as Chief Justice.
I'm sure you are correct. I just feel the way he runs interference for those two and by soft peddling any criticism of it (the court itself).
My major problem is the lifetime appointment and the fact that they can't be removed for such egregious conduct and outright partisanship.
What I'm surprised at is she's done this before! You'd think they'd kick her out of the club, or people would learn to not talk to her!Who is this “Lauren” person? Not that I doubt the veracity of the audio, or Alito’s unfitness to wear the robes, but this whole thing feels like a Lefty version of Project Veritas.

Humans are partisan, and our society is dripping with it these days.I am not sure how to fix this highly partisan SC.
Expanding number of seats but in this current reality, that's not possible.
I'm really surprised it's these two in the news and not Kavanaugh and Barrett. I would fully expect Barrett to be in favor of a Christian theocracy.Geez, I remember when Scalia was the right wing ahole on the Court. He was a beacon of reasonable objective justice compared to this crew. Not sure who is worse between Alito and Thomas.
How about just leveling the playing field?Humans are partisan, and our society is dripping with it these days.
There is no room for the concept of impartiality. We are all partial and decided. Those who aren't, are not sitting in a seat of power.
You do not "fix" the "highly partisan SC". You simply make it your partisans and call it a day.
Sure. Not sure how that's distinct from what I wrote, but I'll bite. How about just leveling the playing field?
It's what you do not what you say if you're not part of the future then get out of the way. Can't win against this.
I fear the likes of Alito and Thomas will never hang up the smock though. We'll have to wait for coronary heart disease to enter the chat I think.
