BB-63 Battleship Missouri docked at Pearl Harbor. Japanese surrendered on this ship ending World War 2. Took this shot on the last helo ride I was on. Difficult to get a shot like this but I was lucky our aircraft had authorization to fly over controlled airspace.

Went to a big luau a few miles down the road from my home a couple of days ago and I just had to capture this sunset before it vanished in what seemed like mere moments later.

Been awhile since I have taken a moon pic...tonite the sky was very clear and crips....got some good detail on the craters....

I got this shot on a regular helicopter tour back in 2017....definitely alot of work being done on her at the time...

Shot of the USS Arizona who is still leaking oil...

Nice clean shot. It would make a nice desktop background especially if the monitor screen is +30 inch.

Canada Goose by the small man-made reservoir nearby. Haven't used my Nikon D850 for quite a while, wanted to test it with 24-70mm f/2.8G ED (non VR).
Picture resized to 50% of original since 19.3mb is too large for this forum.

I guess I forgot to post this one sooner, but here are gulls on the remnants of a pier. It was a pretty cold, windy afternoon and I had to keep on taking shots in the hopes of getting one that wasn't too badly blurred. Kind of difficult, but I can't remember another time when I saw the gulls like this, so yeah. I had to get it.

I was visiting my late wife at the DFW National Cemetary on her birthday (May 17) and I took this pic of a tree nearby her grave. I thought it was a cool pic.

bastard, i just tested my tamron 150-600 g2 tonight. i feel so inadequate seriously excellent shot as usual

my first real time shooting the moon, and i'm looking at my photos wondering why they aren't sharp...but my 1/2000s shots are excellent. that MFer MOVES at 600mm focal length! would be even more on a crop sensor and 1.4x TC!

also hilariously, lightroom's auto processing took the moon from looking like a moon to a space station....

as shot @ 600mm, 1/2000s, f/6.3, ISO 800
just a photo comment here that f/6.3 is the widest aperture for this lens at 600mm, and i feel the image has excellent sharpness. usually lenses will appear a bit soft at the widest aperture.

That Auto option on LR sometimes produces the weirdest results, lolol. As for the Moon moving, yeah, I saw on Reddit people using trackers to capture more images or frames and then stacking them using some astrophotography software to get super sharp results. If it was some other, more distant, astronomical object, you could do the tracking manually by basically just moving the camera to keep the object centered and shooting over and over.

Couldn't setup my tripod and get the settings right, so I took video instead -- not the best of the best quality, but hey:
