I would prefer de-escalation.I'm perfectly ok with giving weapons to people who want to defend themselves from a dictator. As long you're ok with invading dictatorships I guess we should do nothing.
The alternatives to supporting Ukraine are Russia leaving or a Russian genocide against the Ukrainian people. Russia doesn't seem interested in leaving and does seem very interested in committing genocide so supporting Ukraine is a reasonable approach.I would prefer de-escalation.
But as long as we're going to engage in proxy warfare I guess well just hope for the best out of it. As the politicians in charge prefer to stay the course.
