Since the start of the Russian invasion Putin's forces have committed both war crimes (towards combatants) and crimes against humanity (against civilians). The Mafia gas station being scared of Ukrainian prosperity with EU membership doesn't entitle them to genocide. Why do you ignore Putin breaking his obligation not to invade Ukraine to begin with?

Your hope of de escalation, with Putin, makes me think you just started reading about war last week. You've either got a lot of reading to catch up on or a Putin crush to dump, possibly both.

should all reasonable steps have been taken to prevent it yes. Were they. well, obviously given the tenor of the past few pages of posts the definition of reasonable in regards to this subject would not be agreed upon easily if at all.
