Well, we have a mini split with only 18K BTUs of cooling on the first floor, which isn't quite enough. We do get allot of sun in the afternoon. I need to put up partially reflective film on the sliding glass doors. I've been avoiding it since I had no idea how to get rid of the bubbles or starting over if it was misaligned. Finally saw a video showing that with a bottle sprayer with water an a small amount of dish soap, the film remains moveable for several hours and it's easy to squeegee out the bubbles. I just need to get my *ss in gear and get it done.
Seems like good incentive coming your way!

The weather here has been great, like it is most of the time. Min-heat wave incoming, high of 85º forecast before we go back to normal June. Seems like summer is probably due to start on July 5th as normal.

just got back from outside and it is freaking hot. 32C plus humidity makes it feel like 40C. Damn near sauna conditions. The air quality has dropped as well makes things worse.

Gonna be generally 85-95 day and 65-75 night until mid September now. Spells of higher or lower possible, but highs in the 70s are possible but rare now.

So it seems the heat dome struck today. Power out for close to 2 hours. I expect better from you PSEG. I was almost ready to bail and go to a movie. Peak indoor temp? 77F 25C for the rest of you.

HELL, Hell I tell ya.

Thankfully the cellar is cold AF. When I was a kid, I spent most of the summer down there. It's weird but I don't really remember the upstairs being bad at night - inasmuch as I don't remember having trouble sleeping.

Really nice today, only 87F = 30.6C at 2PM with a heat index of 94F = 34.4C. Alberto is about to blow into Mexico and give us a reasonably cool week and then there is supposed to be a 20% chance of tropical development in the same area again next week. Would be amazing to keep heat domes at bay for two weeks heading into July if that one becomes something too.

I almost feel bad for some of youse...ALMOST. I just looked at Accuweather, we don't have a single high temp of 70 or above forecast for the next two weeks. I know Accuweather isn't always...accurate, but they're usually pretty close.

Another scorcher today. The crew working on my land are almost done, I don't envy them working in this heat. I'm drained myself and I'm not even the one doing the work.

Still haven't run ac yet. Tree cover and ceiling fans keep it acceptable in the house. I hear the neighbor's ac grinding away. A shame they cut down all their trees :^D The ones on the right did anyway. Left neighbors have trees, but they're in the wrong place. They need a good oak on the SW quadrant.

Hard to get hot days without sunshine.
True enough, but our weather is moderated by the 50-ish degree Pacific Ocean. We have a nice sunshiny day today…nary cloud in the sky…temp is 59F headed for about 62.

I see someone's never been to MD. It does quite a good job of getting hot without sun.

His temps are specific to being coastal, I'm only like 70 miles inland from him and we're likely to have a high in the 80s the next few days.

Sadly we're entering the time of year where it's going to be mostly sunny until like October 😥

Not only in WA, but on the coast in WA…My house is about a mile from the ocean, 1/4 mile from Grays Harbor. ( just a large bay/river estuary)
Sounds lovely. I briefly lived near a beach on the east coast but it helped keep warmer temps. We had sun though hehe.
