Technically salt molecules will decay, so an expiration date of about 50 billion years in the future is reasonable.Salt that expires, always makes me laugh.

You're probably right but given the fact that roentgens are measured in millirems, it's not something to make a habit of.
My house hovers around 3-4 picocuries per liter of radon. That is literally the boundary between remediate and 'ah, fuck it.'
I fall into the 'fuck it' category because very low doses of radon I believe are helpful. That's why they used to send people to radon caves to bask in warm gentle rays. Seriously. I forget what the mechanism is though. I think very low doses tend to have more of an effect on senescent cells. If so, that's what you want. Once they get their crusty old ass out of the way, your stem cells kick in an repopulate. On a cellular, it's not dissimilar to being "reborn."
You get lose doses just walking around in granite rich regions don't you? That's enough for me up in New England, where we always have to worry about it in our basements.
It's the number one cause of lung cancer in non-smokers, so hard pass on that basking for me.
We need the science hippies to crack the secret of the Immortal jellyfish, turritopsis dohrnii. Smear AI all over the place, isolate some genes, make them available for human use.
Feeling old? Just be younger. Debilitating disease catching up to you? Just be younger. Regret that ink or sports injury? Just be younger!
Heh. Kill a man in self-defense? Be younger! On the run from the mob? Be younger!
pffft. that shit ain't gonna happen.
as to your 2nd suggestion: yeah. just do that. fucking live life, basically. don't worry about being immortal. it ain't gonna happen.
This is NOT intended to be personal. It's just a teaching example. You get low doses just walking around in granite rich regions don't you? That's enough for me up in New England, where we always have to worry about it in our basements.
