I am waiting at the train station for my wife. Thunderstorm is pouring down and I just know, somehow, I am to blame.

Edit: I knew it.

Her: why didn't you park next to the bus stop? You made me cross the street in the rain.

Me: Because it's a fire station and it is illegal to stop next to the fire station.

So I built myself a new rig for faster photo and video editing, but then figured why not throw a great GC in there too and play some pc games, I've been mostly on console for some years.

I can't believe all these bullshit clients you need to download things. Steam (Baldur's Gate 3, Overwatch 2, Portal 2, Dead Space), Ubisoft Connect (xDefiant), GOG (Cyberpunk), Epic Games (Alan Wake 2), Xbox (Halo Infinite)

DRM loving mofos (except GOG and Steam I think).

I was building a frame for an air filter, so that I could put it in my window as an intake filter for when I start spray painting my DIY speakers. I needed to cut the frame pieces at an angle, so I started adjusting my table saw blade. It got difficult to angle the blade after ~15 degrees and I stupidly thought, "Eh, I'll just keep going. The gears probably have wood dust in them" and then I heard a crack.

I forgot that I had my zero-clearance insert in there, and I ended up cracking the insert and bending the blade. The insert is fine, but I had to buy a new blade. That was a dumb $100 mistake.

That sucks. You must need to buy more tools.

I have a dozen teenage girls having a water fight in my garden while I'm trying to light a BBQ.
I have discovered that there is no way to ask teenagers not to squirt you in a way that results in you not being squirted!
I don't see a problem. Standard porn opening.

Phone won't connect to the JBL speaker in the shop. Cycled the phone and speaker. It's rechargeable so gonna let it die and try again. Boss already complains my music is too loud....my next option is swipe the boys roll around speaker. She'll love that. :smirk;

Yeah, my 2 year old $2k table saw is probably ruined so I should replace it with another one...

It's good to have 3 table saws and 3 mitre saws. One set to 90, one set to 45, and one that you set to any other angle you need as you need it. That way the 90 and 45 which are the most common angles are always fixed and calibrated well and you don't play with that setting on them.

You also need a bigger shop at that point.

Well I've just sat them around a firepit and left them to it so I may have some feedback from parents later!
Several of them have said that they've never seen a real fire before and most of them haven't looked after one!
I told them that it's time to learn!
As long as they don't ask you how dairy farmers get the cows onto their condo elevators you are ok.

I bought a plastic sled from amazon, and you sometimes get referred questions from people on stuff you buy. I usually try to answer, especially when it's a good question and/or easy to do. Somebody wanted to know what the inside dimension was, so I went out and measured it. Good question!

After answering, I got a bonus question from I'm assuming someone else. "Tested for microplastics?" Why are people so fucking stupid?! Why would anyone test a 100% plastic sled for microplastic?? Aside from the fact it's macroplastic and will turn into microplastic as it gets used, I'm sure there's a non zero amount of microplastic debris from manufacture. I fucking hate people. They ruin the planet...
