Sold the dji mini 2 and all the accessories for a few hundred, and picked up the mini 3 fly more combo on a really nice sale with the RC controller. Want to start shooting more drone stuff. It's all about the sensor size, and the remote helps too, better than using your phone.

just get a RAV 4 Hybrid. Best vehicle out now if you want a crossover/SUV vs a car, unless you want to tow heavier things.

i've been trying to decide between a rav4, a crv and a forester for 3 years now

but the prices keeps getting higher and supply doesn't get better, so i keep driving my old uncomfortable sardine can subcompact

Wife has a 2020 rav4 hybrid. It's pretty nice.

yah i have a friend with a newer rav4 hybrid, i think it's 2021 base and it does seem pretty good

problem is they're hard to get these days and cost almost 40$k
Things would be a bit cheaper if we were buying an Accord or Camry - but with all the big trucks and SUVs these days it’s hard to see 🙄

The dealerships are cock suckers. They don't keep a supply on the lot. "We'll order what you want"...eff that. Wanted to trade hers, last July, for a gas model....they wanted $10K out of my pocket and they were not budging. Eff that and them.

Camry back seats were hard.

Wife rented an Altima to go to DC. 8.5hrs and I could get out of it and wasn't stiff. My tocoma would have made me pay. 32mpg, average 72mph on the trip. Still a Toyo guy but it worked.

Probably should have bit the bullet and got the septic in while the big machine was on site.

The ground is too rocky so they couldn't really dig much when they tried. Lots of boulders so can't really get a good scoop of soil out. What I might do is see if there is an area even outside of the clearing that I can dig. I can always put the septic a bit further out as long as it's not on higher ground.

Very worse case scenario though I'll just do a mound setup. When I build my cabin I plan to do multi storey so I will just put all the plumbing on 2nd floor so there's enough height to flow to the septic.

Or If I really want to get fancy I can do blasting. I imagine that is very expensive though.

It's crazy the stuff the dealerships can get away with now. My dad sold cars for decades and in his time that stuff would have never flown. People would just go to the lot next door. All the dealerships are more or less in the same area so it's easy to shop around. My mom bought a new car with heated seats and it took a year for them to get a special chip for that. Why does it even need a chip, it should just be a relay. Guessing it's so they can charge a monthly subscription for it at some point if they decide to. The logic to make that work is probably in that.

I need to start thinking about a new vehicle myself, I check FB marketplace and other similar sites but there's really not much that's appealing. If I can make this truck last until the mortgage is paid off I might just splurge and go new. It's an awful amount of money to spend on something that doesn't last though. 20 years later and it's scrap. Maybe I can make it last longer if I get it coated right away though. Maybe Line-X or a ceramic coating, or something like that.

You don't like that? I think it looks pretty good. That's on my short list when the time comes to get a new truck. It'll be used though.

only one truck can truly provide the most beautiful truck ass in the world. This photo of an Incel Camino in NYC shows that lovely rear end.

I had to screenshot this because reddit now prevents saving as jpeg, it's mostly all WebP. I was going to crop the r/dating bit but figured leave it, it's entertaining enough.

But really, there are only a few places a WankPanzer might look good - on Mars, at a junkyard, or up Elon's ass.

I don't mind the look but I hate how they make the beds so small now on all the trucks while somehow also making them bigger as a whole.

I'd love to see them go back to the squarebody style. Keep it simple, low tech, and built for work. And priced reasonably.

Yes the government directs all the minutiae of truck design and is the driving force behind all the styles of trucks we see on the road.

You heard it here first folks.

Lolololol...not going to happen.

What the gubment says trumps what the peeps want.

Yeah chicken tax and cafe laws are to blame I believe. Building small trucks like the Japanese ones is not really allowed here. You can import them but I heard some places even cracking down on that. They also can't be new. Trucks that do get manufactured here have to be bigger in order to meet emission standards, which is really ass backwards. The standards take the size into account, so a small truck is going to be considered worse for the environment than a big truck, according to that law because per volume of vehicle, the small truck is polluting more. At least it's something like that... I don't fully get the logic they have.
