How can there be any red states? Simple. The red pills, they take them. Also relentless Fox News propaganda and white Christian entitlement. To these bozos, equality for all looks like oppression for them.
And the snotnosed punk in the Carolinas at the church where the cops stopped to get him a burger on the way to jail.Clearly one guy establishes the base line for the other hundred million.
In short the kindest word I can say about rural people complaining from afar about "liberals" is that they are ignorant. And they can't say they aren't trying to hurt people, when they vote for the party that expressly is trying to hurt people. You can't have that cake and eat it too.
Did I say we should use the Space Force to deport the space-alien MAGA? We need to replace the MAGA with human beings from anywhere -- like Mexico and Jhina. Then, we could Make America Good Again. This is the end result of the dehumanizing process of boogieman politics propaganda.
You must understand that they do not see those others as equal human beings. The gays, the trans, the immigrants, etc. They aren't voting to hurt "people." They're voting to hurt those they have been conditioned to think are less than people.
The Nazis didn't support hurting people. They supported hurting subhuman undesirables and jews.
Dehumanizing speech creates monsters who still think they are good, wholesome and love their fellow man.
He's as blind as he can be, just sees what he wants to see.It has been well established that you don't see a lot of things.
Ironic. He's as blind as he can be, just sees what he wants to see.
You might want to look up what that word means.Ironic.
You put this song in my head so I thought I'd share.Oh, tell me more?
Xenophobia and anti-intellectualism have been around for centuries, to be sure, but they've taken on an energy under Trump that hadn't been there for a while. Trump and his supporters get to say out loud things that more recent predecessors either didn't believe or kept quiet. It's always been that. Racism didn't die when Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation. The fact that the way we elect our president was designed specifically to give slave states outsized electoral influence just reinforces it.
It has always been a core tenet of the conservatives, but yeah they didn't say it out loud for a while. They always believed it though.Xenophobia and anti-intellectualism have been around for centuries, to be sure, but they've taken on an energy under Trump that hadn't been there for a while. I'm still in shock how in the 1980s the right was able to whitewash a legit revolutionary in MLK into this bland good negro that supposedly believed skin color doesn't matter because they focus on one line out of one speech and act like he wasn't one of the most hated men in America at the time of his assassination. He had something like a net 60-70 point unfavorability rating so it wasn't just bigots in Mississippi who hated him, it was most of the nation. Not to mention the Heritage Foundation is now labeling virtually EVERY human rights and civil rights org a "communist plot" and a "color revolution."
Get a load of this bullshit:

Same old tricks since MLK. Turn the fucking record over.
Hey @Greenman - any update on what evidence you will accept that Trump wants to hurt people?Any update on what evidence you will accept to change your mind about Trump?
Hey @Greenman - any update on what evidence you will accept that Trump wants to hurt people?
Not at this time, I'll be sure to let you know if that changes.Hey @Greenman - any update on what evidence you will accept that Trump wants to hurt people?
Remember, I’ll supply the evidence and do all the work - you just have to tell me what sort of evidence you will accept. Would direct quotes from his own cabinet members suffice? How about videos of him saying he wants to hurt people? Things like that. Not at this time, I'll be sure to let you know if that changes.
I've been focused on a couple of important tasks, a new walnut headboard for my MIL and air conditioning for my shop.
I'm sure that will work very wellOP should take a road trip to see how bright red-orange parts of CA are:
California county that tried to hand-count ballots picks novice to replace retiring elections chief
The leaders of a conservative California county that tried to hand-count ballots in response to unfounded claims of fraud have hired a new registrar of voters with no experience running elections.
The Shasta County Board of Supervisors voted 3-2 on Wednesday to give the job to Tom Toller, a former Shasta County prosecutor who told the board he supports hand-counting ballots
The specific and most correct term to use for them is collaborators.^^^
@MrSquished Think you meant Republicans still trying to talk sense to Nazis. But they won't just be be trying to talk sense, they'll be actively joining them in whatever circle jerk of racism and bigotry they're spewing.
Would you be willing to give up prop 13 and start paying your fair share of property taxes?I live in a town where almost nobody is registered Republican, in an extremely blue state (CA). I pay attention to the news. TFG is such a POS it's hard for me to understand why anybody would vote for him. The R party has sold its soul. They are vile, will do utterly unconscionable things for money and power. Biden's a decent man with decades of experience in service to his country.
How can there be all these red states? Why are there even swing states? It boggles my mind.
This occurred to me while reading this article, and particularly the reader comments. This link will work to get through the paywall for 14 days, i.e. until June 25, 2024:
