(WARNING) Some really lovely material here.. more dead russkies!
No humans were harmed in the making of this video!
Russia’s ministry of defence said its air defence systems had intercepted one of five US-made ATACMS long-range artillery rockets fired by Ukraine at Crimea. It blamed the US for the attack and said that the intercepted missile had been armed with a cluster munition warhead that exploded over the beach.
“Responsibility for the deliberate missile attack on civilians in Sevastopol lies primarily with Washington, which supplied these weapons to Ukraine, as well as the Kyiv regime,” it said. “Such actions will not go unanswered.”
Claiming multiple mutually exclusive explanations for events is a feature of Russian propaganda.Crimean sunbathers struck by deadly shrapnel shower from Ukrainian missile

so...
which is it,
successful intercept of missile attacking Belbek airfield?
or deliberate attack on civilian target?
Because right now Russia is claiming both, and it is either A or B, but not A and B.
ps: I have great vacation deals on beaches near Belbek airfield if anyone is interested! Complementary WWI trench shovel replica included!
I think part of the motivation for the beach in Crimea was Putin effort of “There’s nothing to see…take vacation. You’re so safe.” BS he’s peddling to the masses to calm nerves.Beach vacation to an active war zone? Haha, hope that hotel discount was worth it. Just proves Russian civilians can be every bit as dumb as their soldiers.
I seem to recall the Russians maintaining an active war zone means they're entitled to murder passengers on commercial airliners if they feel threatened. Blow it our your ass, RuMOD.
Somebody should familiarize Putin with the US story about the boy who cried wolf.
Thanks. Evidently, I do not remember Aesop's Fables.US? The Boy Who Cried Wolf comes from "Aesop's Fables." That was ancient Greece around 600 BCE.

Vladimir Putin has not commented but Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin spokesman, said the Russian president had been informed of the attack and was in “constant contact” with his senior military, emergency and health-care staff.
Today's forecast in Crimea, 33 degree C, sunny, with a chance of shrapnels.
I actually don’t think this is bad, outside of the general horror of this entire pointless war.
The guy looks to pretty clearly ask to be killed and if the choice is between a quick death and a slow agonizing one I agree with him.

All you can say now is “Wrlcome to the war, biatches!”
this, and I wonder how much of it is military families still hanging around, not giving fucks because Putin will fix everything. Putin definitely has to keep up the tourism appeal to these areas to make it feel properly Russian for the people that haven't sacrificed. ...just I mean, who can it hurt, really, if some tragic shit also happens and he can use it as an exploitable tragedy. Whom can it hurt, right?
Thanks. Evidently, I do not remember Aesop's Fables.
Haven't yet watched these, but just want to say that, "as long as it takes" means EXACTLY that. Nothing short of that will do. This is a truly existential struggle between the world's democracies and, to borrow but amend a phrase, the Axis of Assholes.Interesting comment by Professor Timothy Snyder at the 20min mark;
Still watching the whole thing. He also did a lecture on Ukraine at the same conference which I still have to get to.
Someone didn't watch the Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle show...
