(WARNING) Some really lovely material here.. more dead russkies!

No humans were harmed in the making of this video!

Sad. The Russian regard for life is what it is though, which means meaningful evac and medical care for the wounded is weak to nonexistant, depending on where they are. These guys have no hope, and act like it.

Keeping a bullet or grenade for yourself, having agreements with comrades to 'finish it' if you're too wounded to do it yourself... yeah, war sucks.

Russia’s ministry of defence said its air defence systems had intercepted one of five US-made ATACMS long-range artillery rockets fired by Ukraine at Crimea. It blamed the US for the attack and said that the intercepted missile had been armed with a cluster munition warhead that exploded over the beach.

“Responsibility for the deliberate missile attack on civilians in Sevastopol lies primarily with Washington, which supplied these weapons to Ukraine, as well as the Kyiv regime,” it said. “Such actions will not go unanswered.”

so...

which is it,

successful intercept of missile attacking Belbek airfield?

or deliberate attack on civilian target?

Because right now Russia is claiming both, and it is either A or B, but not A and B.

ps: I have great vacation deals on beaches near Belbek airfield if anyone is interested! Complementary WWI trench shovel replica included!

Beach vacation to an active war zone? Haha, hope that hotel discount was worth it. Just proves Russian civilians can be every bit as dumb as their soldiers.

I seem to recall the Russians maintaining an active war zone means they're entitled to murder passengers on commercial airliners if they feel threatened. Blow it our your ass, RuMOD.

Claiming multiple mutually exclusive explanations for events is a feature of Russian propaganda.

I think part of the motivation for the beach in Crimea was Putin effort of “There’s nothing to see…take vacation. You’re so safe.” BS he’s peddling to the masses to calm nerves.

All you can say now is “Wrlcome to the war, biatches!”

Is this irony, hypocrisy, karma and pure bad luck all rolled into one where Putin has been murderously bombarding Ukrainian civilian targets since he started his land grab of Ukraine and yet he's crying rivers of crocodile tears when his own civilians are unintentionally killed and injured in his war?

I'm not trying to downplay what happened to those Russian civilians and off duty Russian military that may have been hurt or died because of that unfortunate turn of events. However, there's this certain sense of brutally applied equity being dispensed by karma in that tragic event.

So lesson learned here is read the fine print in those Crimea Vacation brochures where they will now include: "Have fun in Crimea (if you dare). Hotel management will not be held liable in any circumstance for very heavy and unusual shower activity affecting your health and any vacation plans you have made."

Yeah, huh! I love this quote from the Yahoo article

Vladimir Putin has not commented but Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin spokesman, said the Russian president had been informed of the attack and was in “constant contact” with his senior military, emergency and health-care staff.

I’m sure Vlad is all broken up about this

I actually don’t think this is bad, outside of the general horror of this entire pointless war.

The guy looks to pretty clearly ask to be killed and if the choice is between a quick death and a slow agonizing one I agree with him.

yes, and even in a situation where it's possible they were deserting, as well, eh? best to not to hang around in any condition when your Russian friends that have been looking for you, find you.

this, and I wonder how much of it is military families still hanging around, not giving fucks because Putin will fix everything. Putin definitely has to keep up the tourism appeal to these areas to make it feel properly Russian for the people that haven't sacrificed. ...just I mean, who can it hurt, really, if some tragic shit also happens and he can use it as an exploitable tragedy. Whom can it hurt, right?

Putin: Damn those Ukrainian Nazis! Those terrorists are attacking innocent invaders of their country!

In all seriousness, Ukraine needs to bomb more military targets near the Russian/Ukraine borders. And as I posted before, this also includes businesses directly supporting the invading troops such as with fuel and food. It makes staging invading troops more difficult for one. It also enforces the fact that this war is not all perfume and roses.

Let the invaders know this shit just got real. Let them feel just a tiny fraction of what Ukrainians have been facing.

And while we sometimes makes flippant remarks, it's sickening to see a man beg for death, because he knows his prospects of receiving proper medical care is nonexistent. It should be a reminder that in the US, we don't always do everything we can for our troops.

Interesting comment by Professor Timothy Snyder at the 20min mark;

Still watching the whole thing. He also did a lecture on Ukraine at the same conference which I still have to get to.

Haven't yet watched these, but just want to say that, "as long as it takes" means EXACTLY that. Nothing short of that will do. This is a truly existential struggle between the world's democracies and, to borrow but amend a phrase, the Axis of Assholes.

I can't comprehend Russia constant whines about deaths from a war they started. I mean really what a depraved worthless country they have become in such a short period.

Someone didn't watch the Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle show...

Classic cartoons were our first exposure to classical music, classic literature and history with Mr Peabody.

Now you may laugh, But Rocky and Bullwinkle had an ongoing short called Aesop and Son. A spin off of the Fractured Fairy Tales and Improbable History with Mr Peabody short segments.

My father, a WWII vet, an aerospace engineer and prolific reader loved watching Rocky and Bullwinkle with us, as each short of Improbable History, Aesop and Son and Fractured Fairy Tales allowed him to teach us the real history/story of each. Plus he was just gassed by Boris and Natasha.

Growing up with him was really cool. Our house was a library with most walls filled with books on built-in shelves he built on just about every wall to placate my mom over stacks of books everywhere.

Side note: I still remember how utterly disappointed he was with Leonard Nimoy when he started doing that ridiculous "In Search Of" show that gave validation to bullshit.

Ukraine’s 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade has a unit called Signum Drone on drone specialists hunting Lancets and Orlans, gettin it done too. Yet another paradigm of war the Ukrainians are forging a path into.

Ukrainian FPV drone about to say Hello to a Russian Lancet.

“Several different and independent Ukrainian teams are working on systems for intercepting enemy reconnaissance drones using FPV, and judging by the increasing frequency of videos (and less than half of real events are always published), there is not just progress, but this is becoming a systemic phenomenon,” deputy of the Verkhovna Rada’s Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence Yuriy Mysyagin said on his Telegram channel last week."
