They should put them in the classrooms in the original Hebrew since they’re only originally intended to be binding on the Jews,

I wonder if all these "Christians" in Louisiana realize that the man they will vote for President has broken every one of these commandments?

Well, if you’re going to have them, might as well enforce them!” Particularly against professed “christians”. Every kid who breaks one will get 10 days detention. Actually ... Detention is woke! Nothing wrong with a good old fashioned stoning.
Trump's religious supporters don't give a solitary f' about his conduct. Trump delivered the judges that overturned Roe v Wade. If elected again, he'll appoint more likeminded judges. That is all that matters. A flawed tool is still a tool.

The Fall. Yep, totally not God’s fault He first put the tree of knowledge of good and evil in the center of the Garden of Eden with the proviso that its fruit can’t be eaten.

Remember, Adam and Eve were like children at this point and trusted anything and anyone because…they had no knowledge of good/bad/evil/mistrust…nothing. They trusted all, believed all because why wouldn’t they?

Then one of God’s creations tricks them because they again had no reason to not trust…again they were without guile, suspicion, or any bit of knowledge to not trust any of God’s creations.

Just seems logical that if God wanted guileless people, people that were lifelong clean slates without “sin”, He certainly wouldn’t have first put that tree in the garden in the first place, or second, would have warned them about not trusting anyone/anything but Him.

But, nope, put the means for their downfall at hand and no warnings about trust. Looks like a setup for failure…almost like primitive man was looking for a reason were so bad and all.

Yep, man’s sinful actions/thoughts/etc. are all man’s fault and God has zero responsibility for it.

Yeah…no.

And God does love some torture once in a while…as long as it proves a point. So torture is really good. (See Job and God betting Satan that Satan couldn’t turn Job against God, using anything at Satan’s disposal except outright killing Job. That was a merry time for Job. Guess evil suits God sometimes here snd there.)

Just doesn’t seem very benevolent. Or caring. Or all-powerful or even giving much of a crap about His creations. After all, God allows evil to exist, so guess He’s not all-powerful after all.
Bonus: by not explaining the tree, the consequence was unknown and therefore the informed choice wasn't provided. It was a trap, either you stay in a gilded cage, or dare to learn about your reality and anger me, and curse yourself and everyone else for eternity. Pathetic invention of a handful of oppressed men hoping to oppress others.

I was just explaining the teaching of the church to someone who asked a question. I'm not trying to tell ppl what to do, or believe. If people cannot understand or accept that teaching - that's fine. Feel free to do your own research - just consider that it takes substantial effort, not simple bible bingo.

Bible bingo is exactly what you and other Christians do to somehow make sense of someone not knowing right from wrong making a "wrong" decision.

@mindless1 thinks this will pass constitutional muster.

Care to explain your reasoning?
They can’t. It is clear violation unless they allow every religious symbol to be displayed in school including satanic and spaghetti monster in the sky. It is trolling. It is astonishing watching this country backslide into 12th century fear and ignorance of anything not aligned fully with a particular interpretation of a sky god that has no collaborating fact based evidence, many different translations and is one of many skygod belief systems. Americans have become sheep of fear and intolerance sewn by the elite Pharisees laughing all the way to the bank.

Say, how does one go about buying indulgences these days? PayPal?
Can’t buy them anymore. The Protestant's were right about that. Trump probably doesn’t need to worry about purgatory. Hell on the other hand…

But will he? His revenge tour, he won’t give a rats ass for the federalist society. He’ll nominate Cannon vs one of their choices.

Waiting for @mindless1 to tell us how this passes constitution muster.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

I saw an interview with a Louisiana rep who said there is no punishment for violating their new law. One teacher in another interview said he will NOT display 10C.

IANAL

Requiring it seems ridiculous, but I don't care, don't have kids in a Louisiana school.

Well, she has the quality he admires most. Loyalty. I mean this bitch uses terms leading you to believe that she really thinks there is a deep state.

Until a district requires posting the 5 pillars of Islam.

Suddenly you will care.
No, I really won't. It has no impact on my life. When the day comes that it does, and I can't even imagine how that would happen, then sure, I'd care. Not holding my breath.

As a person who considers herself to be a Christian, I fully approve of The Satanic Temple and feel their message should be posted.

Honestly, the Ten Commandments are kind of disturbing, a bit to absolutest for me. I think I would rather just have the 7 fundamental tenets displayed.

But if we are going to start putting up professions of faith, the 7 tenets have to go up. For the love of God. or the Satanic Temples understanding of Satan. Stick them up.

. . .
Besides, we all love the old testament, right?
Exodus 31:14-15
You shall keep the Sabbath, therefore, for it is holy to you. Everyone who profanes it shall surely be put to death; for whoever does any work on it, that person shall be cut off from among his people. Work shall be done for six days, but the seventh is the Sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.
Time for a stoning! We know you prepped breakfast* on a Saturday! Guilty!

This should also be posted, right next to the ten commandments.

*
Numbers 15:32-36
32 Now while the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man gathering sticks on the Sabbath day. 33 And those who found him gathering sticks brought him to Moses and Aaron, and to all the congregation. 34 They put him under guard, because it had not been explained what should be done to him.

35 Then the Lord said to Moses, “The man must surely be put to death; all the congregation shall stone him with stones outside the camp.” 36 So, as the Lord commanded Moses, all the congregation brought him outside the camp and stoned him with stones, and he died.
Hot cup of coffee on a Saturday? DEATH!

ps: isn't stoning work?
