Well depends how it is used; as long as it stays behind the lines of combat and is used to shoot down drone it isn't horrible; of course if it gets anywhere near the line of combat it'll last 5 seconds. My guess is it is suppose to be used way in the back field against drone but the soldiers not being well trained will drive it to the front line to be obliterated.
Sure, as long as the drone doesn't descend on them from above. Oh wait.

It's always been entirely obvious that this war had nothing to do with NATO expansion, Russia just depends on useful idiots to echo its propaganda.

The reason for this war is simple - Ukraine was/is removing itself as a client state of Russia and Russia wants them back. That's why the original goal was to decapitate Ukraine's political leadership and install a friendly government. Once that failed Russia went to plan B, which was to neuter Ukraine as a state.
The original invasion of Crimea back in 2014 happened after the Russian friendly Ukraine chief executive was removed. Puppet governments seems to be Russias go to opening move.

People of Hungary should take note of that. If Ukraine ever falls, their own border and lands will become rather flexible. Vlad the Butcher would have direct access to another puppet government.

North Korea to enter the war.

Pyongyang Says It Will Send Troops to Ukraine Within a Month

The June 19 defense pact signed between Russia and North Korea included a promise to provide military assistance to one another – within days Pyongyang said it was sending troops to Ukraine.
Man that'll suck. First time out of the country and it's to get a drone in your lap.

Well, at least they'll get to see a different landscape first.

North Korean meat fertilizing Ukrainian soil works just as good as anything else that Putin can manage to stuff into the kill boxes the AFU has set up for them. Putin will get NK troops that are strictly disciplined having no initiative, no discretionary habits to rely on should their cadre take a trip through the grinder. That's exactly what Putin wants: more mindless brutal shock troops for the AFU to waste their ammo on so hey, Kim, give me all you can spare, joh-ayo? Gamsahabnida dangsin-eun jag-eun kkomaleul jalla!

If Kimmie Jong thinks gifting thousands of his sacrificial troops to Putin will get him something in return that loosens the choke chain Jinping has locked around his neck he's in la la land on that one, so it has to be that Jinping thinks it's to his advantage to allow Kim to let the NK dogs loose on the AFU. I'm pretty sure Jinping looks at Kim as a very unreliable unstable buffer that wants equal status treatment so he's definitely not going to allow Kim any more roaming room than necessary.

So, 10,000 or so NK boots get to Moscow and instead of continuing west, they decide to stay and make their presence know in a different way. What does Vlad do?

*tongue in cheek* Russians may as well install it on top of a T62 tank's turret to swat down those pesky AFU drones with being mindful of how thin skinned they are.

Putin's desperation pleases me. I guess he's running out of Chechens.

NKs who spend more time farming than the farmers getting a taste of 21st century combat from a battle hardened opponent defending his homeland. Heh, should make for one hell of a learning curve. Watch NKs surrender/defect a company at a time. I guess we'll know in about a month, but I get the feeling all this will affect is how many people NK has to feed come winter.

What used to make me wonder is how NK spies resisted the temptation of defecting after being exposed to the decadent capitalist lifestyles the SK people were luxuriating themselves in. I'm sure their defection genes were indoctrinated the hell out of them but once you're let loose out of the cage and into the wild with no one but your leader's dagger at the throats of your loved ones to keep you from straying must be a mentally agonizing place to be.

I'm not so sure that Un's Robots aren't more disciplined (programmed?) than Vlad's. They probably didn't train on gallons of Vodka for one. I guess we'll see.

Curious how the UN and others will react.

I assume your family gets sent to the gulag for life if you defect.

Interestingly enough a non-trivial number of defectors to SK from NK come to regret their decision and wish they could return.

Reminds me of how freed long term institutionalized inmates cannot adjust to the freedoms they are allowed to have again once out of jail, having been conditioned to a strict regimen where making choices for oneself would get beaten out of them because that was considered as being dangerously disobedient.

Awesome let the South Korean weapons and ammo flow begin!

If North Korea commit significant forces and suffers heavy losses it could be the end of Dear Leader.

Part of it's indoctrination, but that can change over time with exposure to freedom. More often it's a simple fear over what will happen to their families. The Kim regime is fond of not just guilt by relation, but generational based punishment. Back when sneaking out was still possible a lot of defectors would wait until their parents had passed away.

NKs are like the Russians in that humiliations can be grounds for assassination. Remember Maksym Kuzminov gettin wacked in Spain? Kim's own half brother Kim Jong Nam got himself ostracized after trying to sneak into Disneyworld Japan with a fake passport. That did not go over well at home at all, probably factored into him catching that spritz of VX to the face.

Their immediate families and everyone even remotely related to them were held hostage, that's how.

One of the last folks left in what was once a village of 500:

"Initially, the 68-year-old did not believe Russian troops would invade.

“Brotherly country, all that,” he said, recounting how he believed before 2014 that Russia and Ukraine were friends and noting all of the acquaintances he used to have in Russia. Russian-backed separatists staged a battle to control the Donetsk and Luhansk regions a decade ago.

But now, Yurii says, the Russians “see how everything is fine in our country, how everything in our country is improving, and they want to destroy it.”"

^^^ TL;DR Russian are bloodthirsty pigs.
