It’s truly nuts. They said Trump is ‘presumptively immune’ for trying to get Pence to overthrow the government."Acts are presumed to be official" is the way it's being interpreted. Meaning that the burden is on the prosecution to disprove that.

Not true - SCOTUS explicitly stated that Trump is presumptively immune for attempting to get Pence to overturn the election, because ‘discussing their constitutional duties’ is official conduct.So overturning an election is clearly not official.
But election security is.

Also important is that SCOTUS said it’s impermissible to inquire as to the president’s motives for his conduct so he’s in the clear.

I do have to say it is darkly amusing that the conservative majority have not considered the possibility that Emperor Kamala Harris could, like 8 months from now, be keeping them chained up in the WH basement and subjecting them to genital electro shock torture for her own amusement and it would be perfectly legal.
