Off by 1-2 inches at 140 yards. That was pretty good all things considered.
Miss by 1-2” at 140 yards is a disqualification. Try again.

But…it sounds like it was the kid’s dad’s rifle…so he probably hadn’t spent much ( if any) time actually sending rounds downrange with it.

lmao So now you guys have a problem with that kind of language, of course. You've been personally affected, right? How dare Joe Biden use figures of speech popular with repugs since the early 2000s. The fucking nerve.

Oh no, you misunderstood the post. I wasn't condemning Biden's call to put trump in the bullseye just pointing it out. But I do seem to remember outrage from your side when Palin used the same "figure of speech".

Like I said, I'll just sit back and be entertained by violence and total destruction of the country. I'm fully on board with the "everyone who doesn't agree with me is the enemy and deserves to die"! That sentiment is strong on sites like this and has been for years. Let the good times roll!

Still entirely unclear what his motives/beliefs were.

I notice the Daily Mail describes him as "Biden donor, 20". Just because he apparently once gave $15 to some Democrat-leaning PAC.

Not convinced it really matters what the guy thought he believed in. Have enough guns out there and _someone_ will eventually take a shot at any prominent figure, for reasons that might-or-might not make any sense at all.

The Secret Service has some questions to answer, though, surely?
Yea as I said in an earlier post, there were multiple failures, like selection of the venue (maybe this is on Trump's advisors), failure to clear the roofs, not enough shielding around the platform. Something else occurred to me overnight though: Why weren't there drones or a helicopter in the area to survey the rooftops?

it goes back way further than that, though. The US has always been characterised by political violence. Violence is as American as apple pie. Or maybe it's cherry pie? (country immediately divides into polarised cherry vs apple factions)
Team apple here. Will die for it…

I never said that I was "cool" with the capital riot. That you need to lie to justify your position doesn't reflect on me, though it does put you in a poor light.

You keep referring to the 1/6 insurrection (complete with fake elector plots in seven states) as a riot. Even years after the event and all we know about it. You accusing others of being dishonest is pretty rich, what with the trail of fetid bullshit you leave behind you in every thread.

"Poor light"?

Cult physician, heal thyself. Work on not devoting yourself to a lie before accusing others of lying. Step 1: Admit that riots don't come premeditated with accompanying plots in multiple states. Step 2: Enjoy not sounding like a brainwashed asshole for the first time in years.

Two easy steps man, you can do it.

That right there.
There is a TFR Restricted airspace over such an event, and that allows you to fly your own. A couple of drone operators would have cleared that little problem right up.

A lot of whys might make one think this was a coordinated effort coming days after Biden call for Trump to be put in the bullseye. Why was there a big old flag by Trump to be used as a wind speed/direction indicator? Why were short, female SS agents assign to protect a 6'4" male leaving his head exposed? Why did they take Trump to the side of the car that faces the crowd (allowing opportunity for follow up shots)? Why did the snipers on the roof behind Trump not get authorization to shoot when they had clearly seen the shooter? Why... Nah, just another coincidence.

I don't think an attempted assassination points to an election victory, but the greatest winner of this all was Trump - this took all the wind out of the sales about Biden and his team protecting and hiding his frailty, including his mental frailty. So right now Biden is still in for sure. This is nothing but good news to Trump - because he has a good shot to beat Biden, but less of a chance with a stronger and fresh ticket.

Your mind is melted. Why don't you go rub one out with your blue lives matter or MAGA flag or whatever nonsense you sick evil fucks masturbate to these days.

My name is RY62 and I like to spread conspiracies.

Never mind the QAnon bs that has stewed the brains of some crazies coupled with the recent release of Epstein files that had Trump's name all over them.
Never mind that the close-in USSS agents are not there for "distance threat" protection (they are there for close-in protection [think knife or Shinzo Abe] and for trying to get the potential target to safety)
Never mind that the standard for USSS is to ensure a threat is actively identified before it is engaged - they don't shoot first, ask questions later. They aren't the police. Also, never mind that the layered security of USSS + local enforcement could easily mean the counter-snipers were there for further out and it was the local police providing the medium distance security that fucked up (why did they let someone climb on a roof with a gun?).

Yes, Biden who has been hiding by doing campaign events nearly every day. Get over yourself.

If anything, this is likely to be generally bad for Trump, because we know who Trump is and this will just spotlight him as he ramps up his ugly qualities.

Not as many, but a lot. Go to the range some time and talk to people. You would be surprised who you meet. Not what you'd expect from just listening to MSNBC. Wide range of politics, genders and races.

Btw, the AR was a terrible choice in this circumstance. Terrible marksmanship as well (thankfully.)

This was someone who didn't know what they were doing and went for tacticool and belief AR in .223 is some super weapon when thankfully he didn't have a hunting rifle like the SS did.
I doubt the bystanders who were shot were "thankful" for his terrible aim.

I've already pointed out how misleading your claims are about Biden's full schedule. But you keep lying, keep misrepresenting, keep the facade going.

It's really sad to see Dems have such cognitive dissonance.

I agree. The event itself doesn’t move the needle at all, but the shifting attention away from Biden’s issues and onto Trump, who will almost certainly be unable to control the bullshit spewing from his mouth, should generally be bad for him.

"Leopards ate my face", says voter who opted to attend a "Leopards Who Will Eat Your Face" rally.

Right? Repugs have created the atmosphere they now cry about, and it's still the Dems fault.

That they are trying to blame this on Biden and the Dems for telling voters to look at the GQP's plan for 2025 is something I can't stop laughing about.

That JD Vance idiot is some piece of work, sounds like he wants that diaper changing job a lot more than the others.

Trump is pure evil. There have been many leaders in history who have done great evil with followers who cheered them on, just like this guy was doing. I don't give a shit if he was nice to people he chose to like, at the end of the day, he is a big fanatic of pure evil and helping pure evil get power to do tons of evil over anybody they deem the enemy. I could give two shits what happens to evil people. Read a history book you fucking clown. Why should I give a shit what happens to evil people? You don't think Nazis had families and walked dogs too? Who gives a shit, still evil. Now fuck off you empty skin suit, stop stealing oxygen away from actual decent folks why don't you.
So you think that half of the country, who support Trump, are all evil? I admit I dont understand how one could support him, but I am not willing to write off half of the country, including close members of my family, as "evil:.

I would be very surprised if the USSS allowed Trump to speak at a rally without some form of kevlar vest to provide some protection against such an event.
Lol how large do they make these vests? Gonna be quite heavy for one to fully go around him
