Wow, just got the news myself. I've mostly stayed away from politics since the debate.
I'm glad Joe finally stepped down (or was forced to) but he should have made it clear after he was elected in 2020.
How many business owners out there, when looking to hire someone for a 4-year contract (let alone 8), would be considering 82 year old people? 72? It's ridiculous to be electing 70+ year old people IMO, mainly because they are likely to lose the perspective of when it's actually time to step down (like Feinstein). And it's not like being the President isn't just a tad busy and stressful, aka not your typical retiree job down at the supermarket....
We have a minimum age for POTUS, I don't see why there can't be a maximum. Anyway, it's now moot for a while at least. Now Trump is the old man in the election.
Maybe it's good that there's only 4 months, less time for the GOP conspiracy slandering machine to plant seeds in the so-called independents.
