Intel Processor Instability Issues Class Action Lawsuit Investigation Re: Instability Reports on Intel Core 13th and 14th Generation Desktop Processors.abingtonlaw.com
Looks like some lawyers have smelled something. Lawsuits will likely follow.
No you do not get to choose. They will send you back the exact same model. You can sell it and put the cash toward 12th though. It should be a BNIB you get back.
Slightly off topic but please Nintendo , a new donkey kong for Switch 2! There hasn’t been a new donkey game since the Wii U days. It's on like Donkey Kong
He posted 10 days ago! https://community.intel.com/t5/Proc...est-and-CPU-Issues-with-14th-Gen/td-p/1619446I started a support ticket over 24 hours ago, on their support site, complete with S/N and stuff. Still nothing.

You gotta wait, son.
It isn't you, they either don't have the CPUs to ship out as replacements, or they are stalling. I am reading numerous reports of RMAs where Intel has gone silent. Probably inundated with RMAs at the moment. I would not doubt that the agents helping folks like you just found out they are getting laid off.I don't mind waiting. Just making sure I did things right is all.

Uh oh, now Steve is on the case. This situation is going to get ugly! Oh yeah and a lawsuit. Hmm didn't see that one coming. When's the boycott?
This disastrous handling is going down in history. Can it still be called Streisand effect? I'll call it Intel effect from now on, let's see what all will be included in said effect. This was inevitable once Intel said they won't be doing a recall.
You could also sell your whole PC for some entertaining experience:Newegg launches CPU trade-in program with low payouts — $300 for a Core i9-14900K or $220 for a Ryzen 7 7800X3D

I feel Newegg is paying too much for the 14900K
lolUntil August 11th, Intel is sponsoring a PC Trade-In deal allowing you to trade in a desktop, laptop, or tablet for up to $400 off the purchase of a new 14th-gen computer. (...) a fun gamble on Raptor Lake processors with recent extremely high crash rates.
Asus must be relieved someone else is taking the heat...
any chance they paid the big bucks for the failure analysis on a few of their samples? or is it about the whole "mobile chips are not affected" stance.
They were still getting a quote last I heard, so probably too early for FA results.any chance they paid the big bucks for the failure analysis on a few of their samples? or is it about the whole "mobile chips are not affected" stance.
I work at a semiconductor fab outside of Portland, not Intel. We need bodies incredibly bad right now. Wind blowing that Intel is doing layoffs down the street, hopefully we can pick up some of them.
No, I don't think that's the best way to handle this. The performance of Zen5 vs raptor lake is still relevant even if no one should buy Raptor Lake. Leaving Raptor Lake off the charts just serves to stir up drama.Does this mean zen5 should be benched against 12900k and zen 4 only. I am semi-seriously asking.
