Yes, but was made into a far too long winded question that Trump just ignored that part ofDid anyone ask the former President if he was wrong saying Obama was not born in the US?
Who says he didn't?I watched the whole thing. This appearance helped him in no way and very likely harmed him. The clips that people are going to see are him saying Kamala isn't black and other insane stuff. He also called his VP pick useless. He was rude and condescending. None of this is a recipe for gains when your favorables are already in the toilet.
The only way it could have been worse is if he loaded his pants on stage.

“Isn’t that good? I know a lot of wives who wouldn’t say that,” he says.
TRUMP SPEAKS AT NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF BLACK JOURNALISTS CONFERENCE IN CHICAGO
Here is a time-marked start where Trump walked in:
WATCH: Trump speaks at National Association of Black Journalists conference in Chicago
Donald Trump falsely suggested Kamala Harris had misled voters about her race as the former president appeared before the National Association of Black Journalists in Chicago Wednesday in an interview that quickly turned hostile.www.pbs.org
He faced a very hard question right from the start - "You've held dinners with white supremacists, you called several politicians of color to go back where they came from, and you called Kamala a DEI hire, what do you have to say to this audience?" He completely dodged it by saying how nasty the host was when he made an effort to be a guest. He actually drew laughter and applause from the audience. This mofo actually dodged it completely.
I do not like him. But I watched the whole 30 minutes or whatever. He was actually... endearing (wtf?), and drew laughter and cheers (yes cheers) from the audience consistently.
At the end his central messages were: Illegal immigrants are coming to take your black jobs too + ill use our large oil to drive down inflation, don't mind EVs + the waterpot black lady police killing "looked very bad" + Biden made inflation.
He kept on going back to the moderator with the 'nasty question' how she was late to the event, her equipment didn't work, NUMEROUS times throughout the debate and the crowd laughed every time. She just sat there defeated because she couldn't be louder than the guest, I guess.
The whole thing was closed by drawing a nice applause and cheers.
Damn I was surprised. He actually handled himself well. That appearance was a win for him and for the garnering black support.
Yea I can't stand him, but I'm not foaming at the mouth and fail to gauge how the event went down.
No. He absolutely did not. Did you even watch? He drew consistent applauses and laughter.
If you emotional kids can't understand that I'm merely pointing out that Trump as a political candidate made a successful appearance today BASED ON THE AUDIENCE REACTION (not mine), you need to take a breath. I thought this forum is pretty old now and we aren't as rabid.
There wasn't a single boo nor heckling. Show it to me in a time stamp. I don't give a FACK about trump, but I hate blind idiots.
God what am I posting this for anyway. It's just ALL party X bad, ALL party Y good.
Never mind and carry on.
My point all along is that his appearance was good for him based on audience response.
You asked me what? Why are you asking me a question for Trump? Ask the idiot, not me.
He said black jobs out loud numerous times in front of the black journalists, then he added, "the immigrants are coming for you." The host and the audience became quiet because that awful shit actually seemed to land. There were no JEERS or BOOs.
It felt more like, "huh, black jobs are american jobs too."
I didn't say Trump is good for America.
I didn't say Trump isn't a racist lunatic.
I merely said today's appearance, Trump landed well based on the audience REACTIONS, NOT what the news is reporting afterwards.
He did not receive jeer or boos. There were 0 boos.
He held their attention and it drew applauses.
My only 'regret' is that I should've titled my thread better. He nailed it with the crowd, but not on the insanely racist/crazy stuff he usually spews.
Nuance. Take a breath. I hate trump too.
Jesus I write one narrow thing about Trump's appearance drawing occasional but real applauses and generally landing well BASED ON THE CROWD (not the pundits afterwards), and some of you are having melt downs.
Yea I hate him too, but jesus christ.
I know I am a bit late, I have only read the first 3 pages.. and dude, I don't know how you are connecting the dots that the crowd was laughing with him. For a Crowd to be laughing with someone, the person they are laughing with, generally tends to be laughing as well, Something Trump rarely does, if at all. It usualy also requires the person they are laughing with to say something funny and comical. Everything I saw in that video, Trump wasn't laughing, he wasn't trying to be funny, nor was any of it comical. He was trying to snowball them with lies of made up accomplishmentes. So there is only one reason they where laughing, and that was at him, because they know what he is saying is pure bullshit. They know he's an idiot liar. And they know he is just trying to blow smoke up their asses. People don't laugh, when they support what is being said, they cheer, and loudly clap. There was no real cheering, and only a handful of very faint clapping, which most likely came from his campaign plants. Basically, during that whole thing, Trump was the court jester. A very stupid one, because, just as you think the crowd was with him, so did he.He said tons of nonsensical stuff as usual.
In retrospect, my thread title should've made it clearer that the audience was mildly receptive to Trump and that was a win as the event closed with an applause and even had numerous laughter that were clearly with him.
Did you watch that clip in its fuller form? I did because I had nothing better to do.
The audience just kind of took it in. The host lady even felt that energy and rebutted, "Kamala identifies as black." No one was gasping at the absurdity unfortunately, it felt more like, "KAMALA IS OURS, NOT INDIAN", not, "YOU ARE RUDE".\
The first quarter yup, but he drew laughter and APPLAUSES at several moments. No one jeered or booed. I know, because I had nothing better to do.

Bro you are the only one having a meltdown in here lol.Jesus I write one narrow thing about Trump's appearance drawing occasional but real applauses and generally landing well BASED ON THE CROWD (not the pundits afterwards), and some of you are having melt downs.

I read your OP, and knew exactly how the thread would turn out. Nothing neutral or positive can be said about Trump in P&N without absurd amounts of backlash, and a fair bit of hostility. This is a hard left forum and dissenting opinions aren't welcome. There wasn't a single boo nor heckling. Show it to me in a time stamp. I don't give a FACK about trump, but I hate blind idiots.

I mean I posted a link in here that even Fox thinks this was a disaster.I read your OP, and knew exactly how the thread would turn out. So despite all the evidence the OP is just wrong this is your take?I read your OP, and knew exactly how the thread would turn out. Nothing neutral or positive can be said about Trump in P&N without absurd amounts of backlash, and a fair bit of hostility. This is a hard left forum and dissenting opinions aren't welcome.
That right there is the problem with MAGA.You do understand that reality can be observed right?
Disagreement is not backlash.I read your OP, and knew exactly how the thread would turn out. Nothing neutral or positive can be said about Trump in P&N without absurd amounts of backlash, and a fair bit of hostility. This is a hard left forum and dissenting opinions aren't welcome.
