I guess that if you are going to destroy your hearing headphones are a good idea. At least you won’t be destroying anyone else’s hearing while you do so.

would definitely make Salty Nuts' skull vibrate . . . just like a "hair buzzer"

My AKG Pro Audio K245 are too bassy. I need more exquisite high-end - not this damped, wet-blanket sound quality that people deem non-fatiguing. Bet Skullcandy is worse.
[ lol at $124 current price - I bought those for $63 !! ]

I was looking for headphones/earphones 2-3 years ago, through experience I'd pretty much automatically recommend against any product that boasts about bass performance.

Beyer Dynamic Amiron Home. They are the successors to the Beyer T90, which I have and love. Some thought the T90 had a bit too much high end, many of us love the detail. The Amiron Home though tame the highs a bit while still resolving very well. The T90 still have ample bass and it EQ's well

Or look for used T90's, but they will require an amp to shine.

Skullcandy? No thanks. It's for the hip gangster wannabe.

I like fidelity, clarity, and quality.

The headphones are currently half off on Amazon, my neighbor bought them too because he liked the headphones when he tried them.

I use beyerdynamic DT880 Pro for most of my listening. I don't mind the clear highs. (well...as much as I can hear of them anyway)

My favorite headphones are my Sennheiser HD598s. Open back though. I do a lot more listening on my Sennheiser 4.5 BTNCs because they're closed back and Bluetooth. I did replace the pads pretty much immediately.

Why doesn't Koss restock it's items if they're good?

I'm waiting for the wireless portapro but it's sold now. Koss isn't restocking
The Pro 4 AA are at least 45 years old. Mine are, at least. How long should a company keep a good thing around? 😊

I still use my BIC America RTR-1530s that I bought in like 2003.
I have them with a PL200 subwoofer that I bought in 2010.

Recently I almost pulled the trigger on the $120 600ohm refurb model from Beyer's outlet store. I already have their Amiron home, DT 770 250ohm and Tygr 300R cans. I would really like to try the Beyer DT 1990 or DT 1770 but I would have to save up for a while.

I also have Sennheiser 560S, Drop 6XX and Hifiman Sundara (my favorite). It's fun switching which headphones I use.

My DT880s are 250 ohm. I had to get an amp/DAC to power them from my PC. It will power them…sort of, but not well.
