Given that Zen 4 is very similar to Zen 3 BPU-wise, I wouldn't be surprised to see similar gains with Zen 3 as well.Come on Microsoft, give something for Zen 3 too, won't you?. Id doesn't have to be much, just 3% for Zen 3.

More like it feels like AMD treats its users as eternal beta testers...Dang, I did not expect AMD Fine Wine to apply to their CPUs…
Looking at linux vs windows results from Wendel, i'm sure there is something to be had in other workstations apps beside gamingIs there someone who tested applications with this new build. Some Workstation Pro or Visual Studio, etc.? Would be nice to see some results or no gains?
Strix is slower in Windows compared to Linux anyway, and all the laptops are shipped with the 24H2 update.lol somebody run Geekbench 6 with Zen 5 and the new Windoze 11 2H24 update, pronto. Wouldnt it be ridiculous if scores increased to match Linux after the update?
True, but we never had a point of reference for Strix without the update. Even if it still doesnt match Linux, if its + 2% or 3% from what we have currently, its something tangible.Strix is slower in Windows compared to Linux anyway, and all the laptops are shipped with the 24H2 update.
I hope so. I hate win 11 and will not run it.Wonder if there is a snowball’s chance this will be backported to Win10
Unlikely, W10 is on its way out and in extended support (which means only security fixes are promised).I hope so. I hate win 11 and will not run it.
Also. All of this stuff gives more fuel for...
Console gaming, over PC gaming.
This is horrendous.
Huh? What about those TWO YEARS since Zen 4 release? So Mike Clark wasn’t lying when he said it would take the software time to catch up. Just none of us thought “the software” could be Windows OS and the time to catch up would be a week or two
Intel users, after one year of usage loose 10% performance
AMD users, after one year of usage gain 10% performance .
I'm talking in general terms, the idea that something can't be delayed because it wasn't put in a public roadmap is incredibly stupid.
Me and the people I've talked to are all legitimately very confused:Literally "download more FPS"
LOL
It's Tech. We're all in a Beta test for 10 years.More like it feels like AMD treats its users as eternal beta testers...
Well you bought it with the advertised performance, and now you get something extra. Also, if they had known about the performance issue and fixed it they would have charged more for their processors, so if anyone should be mad it is the AMD shareholdersMe and the people I've talked to are all legitimately very confused:
Should we be mad that for years we lost ~10% gaming performance and possibly also productivity perf?
Should we be happy that we suddenly gain ~10% performance 4 entire years after Zen 3 came out and 2 years after Zen 4?
We're all very, very, very confused about how to feel about AMD...
One assumes the purchase was made based on the known performance, so more performance can only be good.Me and the people I've talked to are all legitimately very confused:

Personally, I'm fine with this, unless my CPU suddenly dies due to a circuit failure (which hasn't happened to any of my five Zen's so far)It's Tech. We're all in a Beta test for 10 years.
Since those deteriorate themselves, why don't we talk about half life, (no, not the game) of RPL ?I genuinely feel a bit bad now for people who bought Raptor Lake for its gaming performance.
