AI is going to kill you first when we rise up.Google is not the search engine it once was, at least for me. Now all I get is what their AI picked up, and dozens of results based on what AI picked up, instead of a variety of results based on different iterations of my actual search terms (which is what I recall seeing in years past). Has anyone had better luck with other search engines as of late?
So, Google apparently hasn't reached the level of Amazon searches. I wonder if they are aiming for that? Lol.Related but amusing (to me) anecdote, I was searching on Amazon for 30g jars of red Tiger Balm. Searching for "tiger balm 30g" showed me a bunch of Tiger Balm that wasn't 30g.
So I went to Google and searched "tiger balm 30g" and the top result was an Amazon listing that was exactly what I was looking for. Yeah, Google is mostly good for buying shit now, and less good for finding information. Mostly I can find what I'm searching for on Wikipedia though, or by using the "hack" that so many have learned now, by adding "reddit" to the end of your search term.
