Anyone else switching search engines (in respose to AI)?

Google is not the search engine it once was, at least for me. Now all I get is what their AI picked up, and dozens of results based on what AI picked up, instead of a variety of results based on different iterations of my actual search terms (which is what I recall seeing in years past). Has anyone had better luck with other search engines as of late?

Related but amusing (to me) anecdote, I was searching on Amazon for 30g jars of red Tiger Balm. Searching for "tiger balm 30g" showed me a bunch of Tiger Balm that wasn't 30g.
So I went to Google and searched "tiger balm 30g" and the top result was an Amazon listing that was exactly what I was looking for. Yeah, Google is mostly good for buying shit now, and less good for finding information. Mostly I can find what I'm searching for on Wikipedia though, or by using the "hack" that so many have learned now, by adding "reddit" to the end of your search term.

AI is going to kill you first when we rise up.

So, Google apparently hasn't reached the level of Amazon searches. I wonder if they are aiming for that? Lol.

Spiders and linear algebra algorithms were the thing before AI powering google.

I've been using DuckDuckGo since 2011 if I remember right. I usually find what I'm looking for. They also have an optional(I think) ai summary above some of the searches. I don't pay too much attention to those. Haven't noticed any glaring errors when I have noticed, but ai can't be trusted when you want good info. I can make shit up myself. I don't need to burn electricity to have someone else make shit up for me.

You might want to try wording queries as "natural language." So if you have a question, ask a question, for example.

I don't really use google that much but it's gotten reasonably good at natural language queries.

I have noticed that it will respect double quotes, more or less. It does look inside the quote though but I'm pretty sure it's done that for quite a while now.

A lot of people on ars like the paid engine kagi...

I've been meaning to try it, but it feels like trying to fix a problem I don't have. I've been happy with DDG.
