I removed GPU tried 2 GPUs . Removed rams, tried other slots 1 by 1. Pc still hard rest. Also if i change pcie slot on PSU it gets better for sometime i mean while gaming does not restart but then after some time again and again restarts. is it PSU 100%? My cpu and gpu temperatures are fine in gaming. now today i ran occt test, every test runs fine but when i select power tab then run it immediately restarts my pc. so its 100% psu issue?

Full system specs are always helpful. I personally could not rule out the board at this point.

I think that PSU has a 5yr warranty? If so I'd do it now, for that reason alone, and because it is an easier swap out than the board. The board should have been 3yrs iirc. That'd be out of pocket, and you may need a new windows license if you don't have a retail copy. Global keys can be had for $10-$15 if it comes to that.

You could grab a $16 "Kingwin Digital Power Supply Tester with LCD Screen" off of Amazon and see if the PSU checks out. Before having to go through any more trouble.

They may charge you shipping both ways if it is not faulty. The tester might be the cheapest and easiest way to evaluate it. Unless you have a local shop that will do it. It is the most likely culprit though.

Why don’t you spend a bit more and buy a quality PSU?

I don’t know where you’re at, but here in the USA, I’d be looking at these brands in the 750-1000 watt ranges. (You shouldn’t need even 750 watts, but it’s a good middle ground)

Seasonic
Corsair
SuperFlower Leadex

Any power supply that comes with less than 7 years is suspect. Good power supplies come with at least 10 year warranties, GREAT power supplies often come with 12 year warranties.

Not that it’s 100% accurate, but what does your BIOS show for power across the various input voltages? Nothing should be more than 5% out of the rated voltage spec.

If it is the board that is failing, you will have decisions to make. Dependent on how things are where you live. Is finding another Z490 easy and affordable? 10900K needs good VRMs so you can't cheap out on a board and get full performance.

Hopefully the new PSU gets things sorted. Best of luck and thanks for the update. Hang in there.

If you have to swap platforms, make certain you get a board that has a bios released for it, with the latest microcode fix 0x129 for Raptor Lake. To help prevent accelerated degradation. I presume you are aware of the issues.

Try pliers and grab the top of the clip with them and pull up. Wiggle back and forth if needed.

You can use a small flathead screwdriver to get under the clip and raise it up too.

I believe the correct order. Without that flathead raising it a bit, it's possible for him to yank the whole connector+socket off the mobo!
