24C right now and suppose to be around there most of the week. Pretty crazy for this time of year. Unfortunately I'll be working all week starting tonight so I'll miss out on the good weather.
Topping out at 75 today and they're still calling for mid-40s by morning. If the current forecast holds, Saturday could be a near perfect day. Sub 50 morning (which would be the first since April), then clear, dry and low to mid 70s.
After yesterday’s cool and foggy,(at the beach) today was different. Accuweather said 97F…and I believe them…it was FCKN hot.
We get maybe 4-5 days every year when I wish we had AC…today was one of them.
Chemical plants and refineries are notorious for flaring off excess chemicals.^^^^ We have a chemical plant of some kind wayyyy off in the distance, probably 20 miles straight line, maybe more. Really nothing in the way of lights between here and there, all woods and rural fields. A few times a year they do some kind of mass burn off from a high tower. It lights up the sky bright red/orange and flickers like flames do. It's a lot more evident with low clouds or haze. For some reason it was might brighter that usual last night even with clear skies.
Our fire departments have gotten calls about what looked like field or barn fires a few times in the past only to find out it was just this glow.
