I'd most likely never do off-roading or towing in my situation. Range anxiety is really my only concern. The Lucid has a 410-mile range & supposedly the CT will have a 470-mile option with the battery pack next year...but for $116,000. Sort of loses the appeal for me at that price point LOL.
They seemed to have fixed a lot of the bugs on late-model Mach-E's, but I'm just not interested in them personally. The appeal of the CT was the mega-battery, plus I could outfit the trunk with a Decked system for additional work tools, but the current pricing & lack of available advertised range doesn't make sense for me. Surprisingly, the modern Ford traction system has gotten me through every winter so far!
I'm not in any rush to go electric. My current rental doesn't have any charging infrastructure unfortunately, so I'd be entirely dependent on public stations or client plugs. I just don't want to build my day around having to stop & wait to charge & we all know that the advertised battery ranges don't match up with the real world, haha. Sometimes I'm in the car for 5 or 6 hours depending on the location I'm going to, traffic, weather, etc. & the CT takes 90 minutes for a full charge at a v3 Supercharger. Seems like going backwards to eat up the time in my day charging, pay more than triple the cost, and still be 100 miles less than advertised...

Awesome over view, thanks for sharing. That's a good looking Mav!2024 XLT Hybrid with Copilot360 & Hitch in Carbon Grey Because I placed the order in 2022 I ended up with the price protection so got $3,200 off MSRP when I picked it up in March. ~$30,100 including TTL.
I wish I got it in Hot Pepper Red as its orangey in sun and got the spray in bed-liner but these were known limitations in 2022, who knew Ford would get their shit together in 2024. The Carbon grey and carbon wheels and black trim make it very monotone and really looks good. It will age well! I added front 35% ceramic tint as well.
Have ~5300 miles on it so far but its been a busy summer of trips and extra commuting that is not the norm.
~39mpg is the average since new, but short trips are ~45mpg. Freeway driving at 80mph is ~37mpg. It's easy to park and maneuver in our tiny Silicon Valley & SF parking lots.
It's definitely a budget vehicle but is super comfy, quieter than expected, and drive quite well. I just wish I could have gotten in before all the price increases and reduction in options.

This is just a general issue that comes with bigger and heavier vehicles (however, the rapid acceleration can also contribute). the cybertruck is a 7000lb vehicle with ~600-850hp. of course it will eat tires, especially if you flooring it at every opportunity.Seems to me EVs are starting to show themselves as not actually being economical after all. If you have to change tires that often you're basically paying more money than someone that owns a gas vehicle.

That and it's synthetic decking. The stuff is slicker than greased cat shit, I once lost a load of it that was tied down on a lumber rack. You really have to crank down on the ties, almost to the point of damaging the material.
