I can't click on videos right now. Is that with the new firmware? Some more windows 10 testing from kitguru
TLDR: Win10 only ended up fastest in Far Cry 6

Please don't derail this thread.
You guys have the go ahead if you want to make a who's the GOAT CPU? thread. You can add a poll if you like, everyone can brawl it out. 👊 It's been a long while since we had a good versus thread, and it's the perfect topic for one.
Mod DAPUNISHER
Then GOTE it is! Sorry, I had to do it.That's not all time
Or two, in the Abit BP6 motherboard.Sorry, the Greatest Of All Time was the Celeron 300A. Unquestionable. Undisputed.
Can we get back on topic PLEASE !!!!!!Or two, in the Abit BP6 motherboard.
+1.7% faster faster, margin of error. geometric mean -0.18%New AGESA testing from Phoronix!! He did his best to make it exciting...but its really not, lol.
More like 270GB/s and it has 32MB MALL.https://videocardz.com/newz/amd-ryz...nd-40-rdna3-5-cus-strix-halo-lineup-leaks-out
the naming scheme is disastrous
anway, it seems that memory bandwidth is still a bottleneck ...
- 2 channel LPDDR 7500: 120 GB/s
- 4 channel LPDDR 8000: 250 GB/s
Xbox Series S (8 CPU + 20 CU) : 224 GB/s
Xbox Series X (8 CPU + 52 CU): 560 GB/s
Apple M3 Max (16 CPU + 40 CU): 400 GB/s
CPU performance will be quite a step above, GPU will be better in video games.M3 Max with full bandwidth starts at 4000 dollars for 48GB version though
M3 Max with cut-down bandwidth (~300 GB/s) starts at 3500 dollars for 36GB version
I feel like strix halo is not reaching for that. It's somewhere between M3 Pro and Max.
I hope Radeon can keep the current naming scheme for RDNA4 because the next one is going to be unpleasant to say the least.
Yeah, i'd say it's devastating at least or even catastrophic.the naming scheme is disastrous
yes especially, with 2x higher price over Hawk PointYeah, i'd say it's devastating at least or even catastrophic.
Ah... you mean you're not ready to pay the premium for the astonishigly innovative and unprecedentedly advanced Copilot, NPU, AI and other stuff?yes especially, with 2x higher price over Hawk Point
Strix Point is 2x the price of Hawk point. And Strix Halo is gonna be way more expensive than Strix Point lolyes especially, with 2x higher price over Hawk Point
But but... Think of the AI children!Ah... you mean you're not ready to pay the premium for the astonishigly innovative and unprecedentedly advanced Copilot, NPU, AI and other stuff?
My question is: Is the BOM for a design with an i9 + 4070 lower or higher than a Strix Halo design? If Strix Halo has a higher BOM they will have a hard time keeping it priced down. If it actually costs less, well, they can do a lot with that.CPU performance will be quite a step above, GPU will be better in video games.
Regardless there is no way AMD will price it that high, you are talking top spec machines with 128GB and big SSDs.
I guarantee a fully enabled Strix Halo with baseline memory capacity will start at $2k, AMD needs to get enough people buying it to make releasing a follow up worthwhile.
A i9+4070m laptop sits around $2k for the most part, and that is the exact type of machine Strix Halo is designed to obliterate.

So you can still get your green fix?what's going to be the point of 9945HX when halo exists?
lower price? lol
SC2 therefore remains relevant and loves big L3s
