"Yes, I am quite out of the loop" is sufficient. Her audience is far wider than "little girls" (her recent worldwide tour grossed a billion dollars), and she recently endorsed Harris-Walz for President, which put a bug up Trump's whiny little asshole.

She's also gained some Football fans who probably wouldn't even like her. I know 1 who only gave her music a chance because she started dating the dreamy Jason Kelce from the Kansas City Chiefs.

*NOTE* I don't find him dreamy at all, but we're talking about the loop and gossip so I figured I'd add some gossipy sounding shit. It would be awesome if he also voting for Kamala and came out voicing his support. Trump would double shit his depends. I wish I was joking here, but if he wins I can see him going after the celebrities who are speaking out supporting Kamala. It's not hard to get on his bad side, and he views anyone who's not team Trump as an enemy.

He did. He said she made the right choice.

And Trump is on his? Don’t be mad at Taylor, y’all have Scott Baio

Now now, MAGA also has Rosanne, Kid Rock, Ted Nugent, Kevin Sorbo, Dean Cain, John Daily, Hulk Hogan, and Kelsey Grammer.

I admittedly don't follow Kelsey, but I loved him on Cheers & Fraiser. When I actually watched an interview and listened to him, I couldn't believe my ears. I expected him to be like Fraiser because he played that role so perfectly and that's all I knew him from. But holy fuck he couldn't be any less like him.

As far as I can tell, Trump doesn't have a single famous person behind him I'd want supporting me.

Clearly your loop doesn't matter.
^^ If you're wondering where that conversation started to go wrong, look no further

I'm not well-versed in American politics but AFAIK her endorsement caused about half a million visits to the government voter registration site? If my understanding is correct, ensuring that half a million eligible voters went and got registered is politically a pretty big deal, which is why Trump is losing his shit about her.

I couldn’t name a single song of hers and what I have heard is completely forgettable. I just don’t get it I guess.
Her music is inoffensive and easy to listen to, the subject matter in it resonates with her target demographics. She seems a genuinely decent person who does well by the people who work for her but she doesn't make a fuss about it.
She's an excellent business woman who has a laser focus on her goals and knows how to deliver on them.
And her image is pretty much perfect for her targeted demographic.

I quite like a few of her songs but I wouldn't say that I was a massive fan (but being a straight, white guy in his mid fifties I am definitely not who she's targeting for a fan base).
I like her, she seems like a nice person who is a good entertainer that puts on an excellent show and treats her fans and employees well.

Been a fan of hers for a long time. Wife and I went to a Rascal Flats concert something like 15 years ago, and guess who opened: Taylor! Also Darius Rucker, who I have to say, my wife and I agreed both openers were better than the headliner. My daughter is a Swiftie and loves seeing her when the Chiefs are on. I personally don't mind seeing Taylor during football games. I don't really understand why people hate when the camera is on her. It's not like it's on her for very long, and it's better than cutting to a commercial break.

More like people can't tell good songwriting from bad nor are the clichés like simplicity or that it was commercially manufactured relevant to determining what is good songwriting/composition.

Swift is nothing more than a modern Joseph Haydn. She just gets people to listen and then stay on the merits of either the storytelling or the technical background of the notes themselves. And like Haydn, is shoehorned into a reputation of "easy listening".

Swift has limitations, so her building her fanbase is primarily due to her songwriting. Her singing was meh in her beginning.
That Swifties enter the realm of delusion and hot takes overstating her singing or beauty is nothing more than typical human behavior, mainly the halo effect, and is not relevant to Swift's musicality.

She managed to continue growing ditching a country career for "pop"(a term abused by the intellectually lazy) and becoming politically involved(unlike the Dixie Chicks getting cancelled by the conservatives).

It's not that she can't sing, it's that her songs are so boring your brain tunes them out in 3 seconds and they become white noise.
Quite the opposite. SOME of her tunes are deceptively addictive. Just that she can't add too much more beyond the notes themselves.

Should've Said No had me listening to it on repeat. There also my suspicion she allowed Passenger to use that theme in "Let Her Go", or that she ghostwritten "Let Her Go". Then she repurposed the chord progression for Red.

If there was a ghostwriting agreement, it's understandable for two or more potential reasons...to give financial benefits to a lower standing artist and to see if the song/theme can prove its mettle without her name attached to it. Commercially, Let Her Go did become a "sleeper hit".
Furthering the potential of an agreement is that Swift herself mentions that she listens to Passenger, as if literally throwing hints of a puzzle to be put together that "hey, this sounds really similar".

Mozart loved milking something out of the same rhythm too. Quarter-dotted eight- dotted 16th- Quarter-Quarter notes for the foundation for the 18th piano concerto, the Allegro of his Linz Symphony, and the 19th Piano Concerto.

Simple people do this all the time. Follow pop culture and in-the-now moments because everyone else does it. Listen to the most manufactured poppy unoriginal music. Watch the garbage that constitutes prime time TV across the big three networks. Consume what they are told to consume. Play life by its scripted playbook. They will forever be bland.

I came across this meme and thought of this thread:

I hate trump and I would never vote for that obese orange moron. Still not a Taylor Swift fan though. I don’t hate her, I just don’t like her music.

Just as Tiger Woods is a really bad place for a picnic*, I figure Taylor Swift is the place to go if you need a suit made in a hurry.
