Israel's actions have crossed those of being a terrorist nation state for well over a decade now.
Yes, well over a decade. Their 1982 invasion and carpet bombing of Lebanon (before Hezbollah even existed) left over 15k civs dead and many 1000s more maimed and injured.

Half waiting for someone to call Hezbollah the heroes for bombing Israel.
Due to Israel's disregard for the people in Gaza and the West Bank.
Can’t we just agree there a lot of dirty hands in the Mideast? 10/7 was a war crime. Hezbollah has done awful shit. Israel has done awful shit. Basically they are working on blinding each other at this point (an eye for an eye). The right wing in Israel appears to be using the current conflict to kill as many of their enemies as they can. At this point I can only assume their desired end game is a desert called peace. They appear to have no desire for a political solution and really don’t seem to give a fuck how many civilians they kill in the process.

For reasons of their own, both Hamas and Bibi seem to have a need to continue the slaughter of innocents. The lack of resistance and disapproval by the Palestinians against Hamas is telling in so many ways, one of which is that they possibly are for the most part sympathetic to Hamas or are too afraid to speak against Hamas. I wonder if they are having to choose between Hamas controlling their lives or having the Israelis keeping them under heel and aren't able to pick one over the other because they are powerless to do so.

I assume the Israelis in general would not want the Palestinians taking advantage of acquiring self-determination given how they've suffered from Israeli domination. So it seems the Palestinians would all look forward to and make an effort toward assisting in Israel's demise if given the chance.

What a mess. And the United States is right in the middle of it all from being Israel's staunch ally. It seems the USA is holding it's nose while it suffers through it's ties with Israel the same way the Republican elite is suffering from it's unholy exchanging of vows with Trump.

And you have to wonder how long they'll be able to keep that shit up if the US pulls the plug.

Has Hamas done shit to prolong the current conflict?

Yes

Has Israel done shit to prolong the current conflict?

Yes

Have fun finding the clean end of the turd.

There is NO clean end of any of the middle east turds. I'm certainly not looking for one either.

I’m not following the thread so I’m sorry if this was asked already:

If Israel can do this, what’s stopping some entity from doing this to cellphones?

Only those with control of the supply chain components could do this, so it is only as difficult as it is to take over full control over manufacturing of the larger components built into the phones.

China for example certainly has the technical skills and supply chain control to do so, if they thought it would be to their benefit. If the explosive is completely embedded as manufactured into a component (like the battery, for which China makes some 80% of the global supply), it would be nearly undetectable.

Likely only 4 grams or so of RDX or other similar plastic explosive was used in the Mossad pagers.

The climbing death toll is not about the pager attack. Straight up rockets VS modern airforce.

The two sides are openly bombing each other.
Hezbollah picked a fight with a much stronger, better armed, opponent.
That's not terrorism, that's war. Very stupid of Hezbollah to be bombing Israel this past year.
Continues to be stupid by bombing it still. So the airstrikes continue.

The day of the Oct 7th massacre. I was a bit passionate there for the victims of that attack.

Despite Israel's apparent carpet bombing campaign in Gaza, that is NOT in following with the premise of that post.
It would be the literal claiming / obliterating of each mile, piece by piece, in a completely systematic fashion. Permanently. To add clear and definable stakes for the release of hostages.
I'll admit it was a little absurd and inflamed.

Has little to do with Hezbollah though. They at least do not hold hostages. So the only imperative for bombing Hezbollah is that they are bombing Israel. Technically a much easier conflict to ceasefire on.

Because they stopped using them because they knew Israel was getting all kinds of info on them. So they attacked the type of coms the Hezbollah and other terrorists adapted to.

Well the Israelis probably just killed a couple hundred people trying take out Nasrallah (head of Hezbollah). Unclear if they succeeded or not but either way the odds of direct Iranian involvement have gone up.

Practically speaking, there isn't room in modern cellphones for enough explosive to do this, I don't think. I could be wrong about that, though.

I'm also guessing It's much, much harder to incorporate something in a cell supply chain, as those companies have much stricter manufacturing protocols than a pager or walkie talkie.

Also what would be the point? If you want to blow up random people there are easier ways. This was done specifically because they could be confident of the targets.
