Hi folks

Recently my wireless mouse Logitech G305 stopped working and it was connected to Anker powered 7-port USB 3.0 Data Hub

Tried to change USB port port on the desktop same issue
Tried to change port for the mouse transceiver same issue
I am using windows 10 it is up to date

I restarted PC twice it worked then it stopped

After that I connected the mouse transceiver directly to the Desktop's USB port same port as hub was connected to it and it is working fine

Thx

I don't have a G305, but I've had a bunch of M310s and they worked fine with hubs, docking stations, etc. Nothing with 7 ports or a lot of extra devices, though.

Is it possible there's a power delivery problem? (Bad AC adapter or something.)

Two suggestions I can offer.

1. As above, maybe the power supply module to the Hub has a problem (even just a dirty connection in the input socket), OR you have started using on it an additional device that uses a lot of power.
2. On occasion I have suspected that the USB system has become confused because various devices have moved from one port to another often. I could be wrong about this! But here's my "solution" to try. Make sure the mouse is connected and working. Go into Device Manager and find it and its driver. Right-click on that and UNINSTALL the mouse. Back out to empty screen, shut down, and unplug the mouse. Boot up and let that complete, and the system will recognize that there is no such mouse. Shut down. Plug the mouse into the Hub where you want it to be and boot up. The system will detect a "new device" and install its proper driver so it can work. This process MAY establish a clear path to where the mouse is to be found.

If the USB hub is connected to or disconnected from the desktop still device manager showing same list under : USB Serial Bus controllers,,,,,,wouldn't that mean the desktop not recognizing the USB hub ?
I did a test by connecting StartTech dock station and it is also not getting recognized

Plug in that docking station and make sure it power brick is connected. Check that it is not shown in Device Manager. Look in a few other places like Disk Drives and Storage Controllers. Then try this and re-check. In Device Manager click on the very top item, then on the Action menu item at top and choose "Scan for Hardware Changes". This forces Windows to look again for everything attached. When it has finished, look in your list again for that device. THEN also look for your USB3 Hub.

If the USB hub without anything connected to it not showing in the device manager wouldn't that be an indication there is something wrong it? Or something has to be connected to it to be shown in the device manager ?

You are right about that. Connect things that way - Hub in, but nothing plugged into that. Check in Device Manager to see it it is there. If is IS there with a yellow triangle, it has a problem that MAY be as simple as re-installing its driver. If it is there and looks OK, try that process above: UNinstall the device, back out and shut down, boot up without it, check that is it NOT there then shut down again. Reconnect it still with nothing plugged into it and boot up. See if it has appeared and is OK. To be sure, try the "Scan for Hardware Changes" step to force a driver install, and see if it appears OK now.
