I did some reading about it earlier today. Vogue and some other women’s magazine each stated it was legit Tiffany piece. I’m no jewelry expert, I will trust them.
Kamala makes decent cash, she is a lawyer that’s not unusual. She received around $300k for a book deal. $62k for a piece of jewelry isn’t that much of a reach and back to my earlier point, SHE RELEASED 20 YEARS OF TAX FILINGS it’s not hard to figure out where the money came from.

Also having extreme wealth carries an expectation burden. They are expected to have nice stuff. I know in my career I’ve spoken with people who live in five million dollar homes and I never like to be nickel and dimed by them. They can certainly afford to spend $30/50/100 more for an item or a project. I will not work for Walmart wages and be expected to provide far superior services.

Since my several hand surgeries this past 9 months I've taken up daily hikes starting at my house and going up into the Berkeley hills (1000 feet elevation rise from my house in the flatlands). Pretty humble where I live compared to the homes I see as I get closer to the trailhead. When I get to those, I see fancier cars, lots of Teslas (so many Teslas in Berkeley!). The houses, yards and cars are well taken care of (cars generally look like they were washed yesterday). I'd say on the last few blocks the median home value has to be over $5M, likely $7M, possibly $10M. These are big fancy houses, each quite different. I've been wanting to ask people there what their estimate is but haven't found anyone yet to ask beyond one guy and he said he has no idea, his wife bought it!

You can just pull estimates up on Zillow or Redfin, it's not going to be perfectly accurate, but you can filter for recently sold to see actual values.
