Hi,

I have 2x Odyssey Ark (HDMI) and 2x G9 Neo 57" (HDMI) connected to a 4090 and 3090 Ti.

As soon as I enable the setting:
"When plugged in, turn off my screen after (30 minutes)"

The monitors turn off after 30 minutes and then back on repeatedly, endlessly, about 60 seconds between cycles.

Obviously I want this setting enabled to save power, but I'm worried turning on and off several hundred times a night is not going to be good for the monitors.
Does anyone have an idea why this might be happening? Perhaps there is a setting in Windows or one of the monitor settings that could be causing issues?

Cheers,
SB

Just turn off the feature and use the power button. It is definitely not working as designed.

Note: The feature is in Windows, I forgot to mention that. It is off for now.

When I shut the primary monitor off while at the lock screen, the second turns on

I don't see issues like this on Windows very much at all (ie. I can't remember the last time I saw it happen), but on Linux and with a single Iiyama monitor I've had a very similar issue (configuring the OS to switch the screen off after x minutes results in the screen going off momentarily and then back on again), and the solution for me was to set the input signal source on the monitor from auto to the actual port I was using. The problem didn't occur in Windows, so I presume there's a difference between the way Windows and Linux tells a monitor to go to sleep.

I just want to clarify: you've got two different graphics cards in the same system with two monitors connected to each graphics card?

I see. As far as I am aware, the monitors are set to specific sources and the auto detect new input option is turned off.

Correct, two different cards with two monitors connected to each. From memory, it's one G9 in each card (HDMI) and one Ark in each card (Display Port).
