The footnote explains it is different workloads. HPC is typically more fp so that makes sense.
But I still suspect those marketing "Up to"s are doing a quite a bit of work.

9175F seems like an interesting chip. 16 cores and 512MB of L3 cache. Means it's using 16 CCDs with only 1 core enabled on each

Imagine if AMD had a Turin-X variant with each CCD having V-cache and only 1 core enabled...

So, does this mean that Turin CPUs are "announced" as in available to buy ? and motherboards ? and bios support ? I have a Turin ES that will not post on the latest Genoa BIOS and was told by supermicro that bios will not be available until Turin is "accounced"

I heard someone claim that the Epyc and client CCDs are slightly different now. Does anyone know if that's true?

As i pointed in my previous post, 50-60% better perf than previous gen, actually 58.8% in Spec_int.

Well, there you have it. A 64 core part 1.33x ahead of 96 core Genoa.

Can't really complain about that.

And also I was sort of hoping for Intel to get about 2 months of breathing room out of 2 years in the gas chamber. Instead, it's 2 weeks.
