Ironically, his not being able to rein in fellow conservative scofflaws Thomas and Alito from arrogantly abusing their positions speaks to how Roberts really isn't the actual leader of that Court, rather he is a mere figurehead being manipulated by the real sources of power and influence at the Heritage Foundation and Federalist Society.
